My wife and I stopped here on our way home and the food was delicious! I had the smoked brisket, mixed greens and sweet potatoes, they were all good! She had the jerk chicken with baked mac and smoked beans, her food was also great! We plan on coming here anytime we are passing through Poplar Bluff again.

People were nice, restaurant was clean and looked nice. Ordered take out by the pound. 2 pounds of brisket and 2 pounds of catfish. Weighed them and neither one was even 1 pound. Very disappointed with the amount of money spent vrs what I got.

We wanted to eat out last night but we wanted something other than fast food and we know PB doesn't have a lot of options when it comes to dine-in restaurants. I had been seeing nothing but good things about The Kitchen BBQ and Soul, so we decided to try it out. We wanted to give a big shout-out to The Kitchen BBQ and Soul for such a great atmosphere in their restaurant and the food, phenomenal. The ribs were so tender and the catfish was on point. The food and atmosphere did not disappoint! Highly recommend and we will be back.

The Kitchen is so good, I've eaten there twice today. I had catfish, greens, and Cajun corn for lunch and it was incredible. My cohorts had jerked chicken that was equally awesome. We also had a sample of a lasagna they were making and I enjoyed it so much, I got an order to go for supper. I wouldn't typically think of a soul food kitchen as a place for lasagna, but it was fantastic! I can't wait to go back and take a crowd with me! They also have open mike night on Fridays! Can't wait to hear it.
