Went to go have a peaceful birthday dinner tonight with my family, and the lovely owners Tyler and Jennifer Juliette were so intoxicated that they kicked us off the property for being in a open public space without camping passes. My fiancé and some of the other guys were all hanging around the dumpster area (no sign saying you can’t be there), when a manager came over and was very rudely asking if they had day passes. When my fiancé calmly tried to explained we were there under a reservation, and we were only hanging around the public general store, the manager proceeded to get visibly angry and said she was informing the owner of our behaviour. After my fiancé came and told me of the situation, I went outside to see what the chaos was. Tyler and Jennifer proceed to come up to my fiancé and say “are you the one who was mouthy with my manger”. Mind you, they both were clearly intoxicated and had alcohol in hand and the manager had a cigarette hanging out of her mouth most of the interaction. After they came up I looked at Tyler and said “Sir we are here under reservation if I could just explain” and Tyler replied “I don’t care about a reservation and you’re going to let me talk.” They proceeded to say we needed to leave or they would call the cops. I told them obviously they had too much to drink and that we would leave. As we turned around to go inside and grab our belongings, they followed us the entire time. Tyler followed me so closely I was so scared he was going to grab me! Literally he was half an inch away from being chest to back with me, and I told him aggressively to back Up, get away from me and that I am a young woman. When we got inside, the owners told my family we were the most “disrespectful children” they’d ever met, mind you we are both legal adults. I grab my belongings, we left, and we surely will never ever be back! My family was left embarrassed, shocked, and disturbed by how poorly the owners handled the situation. If they had kindly asked us to see our passes or that we couldn’t hang by the dumpsters, there would have been 0 issue. If anyone there witnessed the interaction, I am highly sorry for the scene. However this was 100% poor business management and could’ve been handled 1000x better. So unfortunate that the owners are to entitled and money hungry to hear out the people who give them business.

Myself, husband, son, daughter in law and granddaughter and our puppy enjoyed our first time! This place is simply amazing! We are planning to return in a few weeks, if we can get a cabin. The place books up and that’s because it’s perfect! Swim in the lake, or the pool, fishing, boating, lots of activities for the kiddos. Everyone was super friendly! The golf cart rental was great, highly recommended. Knowing they have a restaurant, we only packed snacks, and the food was great, less work, more relaxing! We stayed in an A-frame, bathhouse is super convenient and clean! I can’t say enough good things about this hidden gem! Thanks for sharing your place with us all to enjoy!

My first trip there was this week. And will definitely be back. The lady that sold me my pool pass was so polite and friendly. Niki was a awesome bar tender. And the place is so beautiful.

Checked out this campground this past weekend for the first time. This place is amazing and we can’t wait to come back! There are so many activities to keep the family busy and we really enjoyed our stay!

We had the best time over 4th of July in the cabins. Place was always clean and staff is amazing as always. Becky and brandy are the best so welcoming and always a good time. The fireworks show was the best I have ever seen. It makes city fireworks look like someone’s back yard. We can’t wait to go back again next 4th of July!

Me and my whole family love this place it is a great meeting place for family occasions of all ages!!! It’s like a resort right here in MO!!!! We love TEL&H!!!! I will always recommend it if you’re looking for a get away!! My favorite thing to get at the restaurant is that gigantic pretzel 😍 The swim up bar is 10000000% so fun!!!!!! Get a golf cart, swim in the lake (or nice pools) Grab some firewood,a frozen drink and a snack from the store , and a new twin eagle sweatshirt & Enjoy a nice calm evening!!! YOU WONT BE SORRY!!!!

I originally found this place on the Missouri campers group and new to the camping scene. I took a chance and booked a weekend here for my family. It truly exceeded our expectations and has been back ever since 2021. It’s my happy place! Feels it definitely caters to families, kids, and adults. It has something for everyone. I will be back every camping season for the rest of time!

just wanted to say that we had a fantastic weekend. we stayed in the aframes, they were clean the bathrooms were spotless. The housekeeping staff was wonderful and everyone was very welcoming. we will definitely be back

12 year olds flying around on golf carts loaded down with kids, kids riding through camp sites and across roads on e bikes at 15-20 mph and we almost hit one in our truck. Zero mgt cruising around just a free for all. At least it was quiet in the evening. Never coming back May - Sep.

We have been going to Twin Eagle with the family for many years and have always had good experiences until this year. Unfortunately, the place has exploded and is now all about partying and the bar scene and less about a family friendly camp experience. There are not enough golf carts, so families can't enjoy the trails together, the restaurant is now a bar scene and our teenagers had to leave at 9pm and couldn't sit and listen to music with us and eat. The pool is now a bar scene and teenagers are not allowed. You can no longer sit around the campfire at night with the family and enjoy that experience either without being harassed by a security guard who thinks everyone is partying. The lake is still family friendly but so crowded you can't even find a spot to get in and out. We have been camping with our kids for 10 years and this is the worst family experience we have ever had.

We went for the first time over the weekend and absolutely loved it! Our 4 year old cried when we had to go home because he didn’t want to leave. Our only issue is that we were not told there was a wedding going on until we checked in (we stayed at the hotel). We could hear the music through our walls and it was pretty loud, however they were finished by 11:30 so it wasn’t that bad. I highly recommend this place to anyone. It’s beautiful and very well kept. We already can’t wait to go back!
