Passing through to Jefferson City and stopped here for lunch. Had a delicious grilled ham & cheese (real country ham, not thin deli slices) on thick slices of bread. Left with two slices of pie - strawberry rhubarb and strawberry cheesecake. Waitress was very friendly. Glad we stopped.
The catfish fillets were thick, seasoned well, and crispy. Baked beans were delicious with a sweet taste. The fries are basic frozen fries, but crunchy and golden. The staff are friendly as you would expect in a Missouri small town. The brownie was dense and tastes homemade, which all of the desserts are homemade. Nice small town Diner. We ordered a Pork Tenderloin sandwich and a Cheeseburger with a side of Home Fries with both. The Tenderloin was very tasty and breaded nicely. The Cheeseburger was good. The Home Fries were a little disappointing as they were slightly greasy and limp. Overall this is a very nice hometown place to get a very reasonably priced meal. We will be making a trip to try Breakfast one weekend.
