Beautiful and tastefully designed. The bartenders are inexperienced and not very organized but are kind people. Steak night is on point. Beer and whiskey moreso than wine and cocktails. I also must say they are biker and first responder friendly that is a big plus.

If you find yourself at the Fagus/State Line area and you want a mean burger or pizza and a cold drink or cocktail, you'd better brake for the Swamp Donkey. Good food, cold beer, a fun atmosphere.

So my family came to this place post- hot day at the pumpkin patch at Pumpkin Hollow in nearby Arkansas. The food looked great online-was great in person! The venue, maybe not the most kid friendly but it is a bar and grill and I understand that. we had teenagers so that wasn't a big deal but just something to be aware of The service was the most wonderful part the young man behind the bar was an amazing server. I don't believe we ever got his name. Our drinks were always very quickly refilled, he was very attentive and kind. Especially when we had a little drink spill. He signed us up for points and was thorough explaining the point system to us. The free chips and salsa were nice! The atmosphere was nice and supportive to first responders which was a unique touch. The prices for the amount of food was really great The only downside was they do allow smoking inside. Where we're from that isn't something they do, so it was a small surprise to be reminded that places still do that. My family left full, happy and refreshed after being outside all day.

I had set myself a goal that week and it was to go to swamp donkey. Well we thought we would of went on Friday but by the time our whole crew got off work and ready luckily we made a call and we have one or 2 who are drinkers the rest of us love food, soda and some competition whether it be in pop darts(favorite btw), darts, horse shoes, cornhole or good ole game of pool. We know how to be the life of the party. Plus throw a good ole quarter machine and some fish tables or slots and we rednecks are gonna have some fun or rebal lol. Well my ole man was thinking about that big ole burger I think you got to finish it in 17 minutes but instead we ended up coming in on a cloudy downpour day. It wasnt very crowded you can tell there Saturday day shifts the customers are there to eat and bring the kids and have some good family time. The server was very nice. The only things I would do differently (coming from someone who has been in customer service over 20ish plus years) I always remember my customers. Know who your regulars are and know whenever you have a new face come in. My ole man and me whenever it's just us we aren't as good askers cause we don't want to be a bother. But we would of loved to know more about the rewards club we could of signed up for and what all the things that make Swamp donkey a place to make our regular spot. I do love how they pour a pint of beer. But man I sure did love showing off in my bartentering days and how not to give them too much head. ( LMAO) ( Ok y'all get your mind out of the gutters lol ) It was funny wasn't it? Lol

We had a great first visit to Swamp Donkey last week. Fun, entertaining, relaxed atmosphere. Food was amazing and prices were very reasonable. Trivia night activities were a lot of fun, as well. We will definitely be going back!!

This place was a very unexpected stop on a road trip and in the middle of nowhere. The interior was classic down home country bar and grill. The workers were very polite and the food was amazing. I can honestly say that I would drive the few hours to go back and enjoy some more.
Parking: Located right next to a gas station if you find yourself low on gas or a quick drink.
