Carlitos Mexican Restaurant

Carlitos is a local Mexican / TexMex restaurant. Tucked away in the shopping Plaza at 63rd and Woodson roads in Raytown, Mo. Carlitos has that welcome neighbor type vibe. You can stop in and order at the counter for take out or enjoy your meal at one of the many tables in the dining area. The food is simple, inexpensive and prepared right where you can see it. I like that the quality is always consistent and the staff is always friendly. Andrew the owner is frequently working along side his staff to keep his customers happy. My favorite go to meal is the Chimichanga on rice and the Carlitos Taco. Simple, fresh and hot with a beef taco stuffed with lettuce, cheese, sour cream and tomato. Others enjoy the Pork Tenderloin with fries. You can eat for ten dollars or less or enjoy extras like real Mexican Cane Sugar Coca-Cola in the bottle. Weather you stop for take out or dine in you will be happy and find a great value and a place to meet new friends. Don't hesitate to visit Tue. thru Saturday. Closed on Sunday and Mondays.

Yesterday I wanted something different. I saw pork tenderloin on the menu so that's what I ordered along with fries. Omgosh! It was wonderful. It's good to know they have good Mexican food but also awesome "other" food.

The staff was friendly and helpful. I had a beef chimichanga and the Carlitos taco. Both were outstanding. thanks guys. 😎👍

Beef tacos add cheese sauce get the 6 not the 3. The 3 won’t make it out of the parking lot once you open the box. Love this original place!

I work nearby and just want to thank the owners and workers for all their hard work. Always hot food and always someone nice helping me out.

My coworker and I entered this establishment for lunch. We were told by the man at the register that the food was pretty much elevated Taco Bell. Not authentic Mexican but “Americana”. So we decided to give it a try we were already there and the food definitely disappointed. It was very bland and Taco Bell was better. Go get a chalupa box instead.
