You want to go to this place if you're planning to relax.
You want to go to this place if there's a certain kind of drink that you can't find anywhere else. There are seemingly limitless drink combinations.
You do not want to go to this place if you're in a rush. You're definitely meant to stay and enjoy the atmosphere here. There's plenty to look at.
Parking: Parking is behind the building.

cosy shop with a friendly staff. The coffee selection was not my preference but in the future will visit to try the food as that seems to be the locations driving force.

We tried our this Raytown staple yesterday for the first time. We ordered a breakfast BLT, biscuits and gravy, and tiramsu cheesecake along with a butterfly lemonade and a Caramal coffee (macchiatto?).
Everything tasted fantastic! The service was amazing and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. They had both indoor and outdoor dining space available.
Will definitely be coming back!

Brought my niece and her husband from Omaha here for lunch and we had the best sandwiches ever: fresh ingredients, tastey spread / dip; absolutely delicious. The customer service was the best and the vibe in the quaint little restaurant was a delight! This is the 2nd time I brought out-of-town guests here and they rave about the quality and savoryness of the food. If you've never tried this lunch spot I can assure it is worth the visit and it will not disappoint! And you will most certainly become a repeat customer. A very pleasant experience in every way!

Had a late lunch at the Serenity Cafe in Raytown and it was absolutely delicious. The blackened chicken wrap had just the right amount of spice and all of the flavor. The chicken salad sandwich was unexpected but completely perfect. We got two cheesecakes to enjoy later (the red velvet and tiramisu), which were easily some of the best cheesecakes we've ever had. You can tell that the food here is homemade and made with love, and I wouldn't have believed it except for we got to meet the owner of the shop. I wish I would have had more time to chat about her little charming cafe because she was passionate about her business and the quality products that she serves to her customers. She also addressed my husband by named based on briefly glancing at his credit card. That level of detail is just unheard of anymore. So all this to say that if you live in the KC area or are just passing through Raytown, make sure to make an effort to drop in and have one of the best lunches around!

I was there a couple years ago while visiting; looking forward to trying it again when I’m back. Laid-back, almost European atmosphere. Great place to meet with friends.

For anyone looking for an afternoon coffee spot, Serenity Cafe in Raytown is worth visiting. From the inviting aroma to the delicious homemade sandwiches and coffees. Our favorites are the Salmon Wrap and Gouda Panini. The Chai is a year round drink for me while Jerry likes the Blended Reese’s Frappe. The Flavored Lemonades are so refreshing in the summer. Rebecca and the staff are very welcoming each time we walk through the door. Check them out!!

The coffees good and considering Raytown doesn't have much to offer this place is a gem. They always make whatever coffee I order even if its not on their menu which I appreciate. It also looks like they help keep an eye on the local teenagers instead of being annoyed by them they welcome them. Which is really nice to see. Only downfall is it can be loud but that's really it. Other then that this is a super cute spot.

I have been going to Serenity Cafe almost since it opened, and it was wonderful. i told all my friends about it and took several of them there for lunch. I loved their chicken salad on a croissant. Unfortunately the last couple of visits the chicken salad has been really runny and not fit for use on any bread. It was terribly disappointing. When we asked about it, we were told that nothing had changed on the chicken salad. In our opinion - my friends and mine - something has and we haven’t been back in since Valentine’s week. The cafe’s location difficult to get in for people who are handicapped. There is only one or two handicap spaces right in front (I believe it is one space, but I could be wrong). But if it is a handicap van it is dangerous to use that space. The main parking lot requires you to use a tall staircase with good handrails, but that, also, could not be used by people with mobility problems. The second time I ate there, we sat on the patio. Don’t ever try to eat outside if the wind is blowing because you are completely exposed. Last, about location, the cafe is next door to a high school. And it is a hangout, so be sure you don’t take a late lunch because the school let’s out at about 2:30, and on Wednesday’s the kids are out at noon. I am sure they do a lot of business with high schooler’s, but I wonder if they have considered the older folks (21-92?)s
Parking: The parking lot in back requires you to climb one (or two small sets) flights of stairs and enters from the ‘patio’-seating area entering in the back of the restaurant. Or, you can park in the front if you don’t mind getting out of the car right on Blue Ridge Blvd’s only northbound lane of traffic. Plus, it is next door to Raytown High School and the school traffic seems to be constant, but is completely tied up starting between 2 and 4pm.
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility is poor, to say the least. There is one or who spaces for handicap parking in the very front, but has you parking ON BLUE RIDGE BLVD! If your H/C van exits on the left you will be trying to exit right on BLUE RIDGE - right in the middle of the one northbound lane in front of the high school. I don’t remember whether there is h/c parking in the back, but the only door in the back is up a flight of stairs, or uphill if you want to walk around the building. It would be dangerous on ice!
