“I pull up this morning to Waffle House and find Melissa has shown up for work today - the only one here just before 5:00am. She apologizes (unnecessarily), takes my order, prepares it as a party of two walk in, then another solo party and she greets them, apologizing for being the only one here each time. The thing is, Melissa showed up, she’s doing a tough job alone and she showed up. She made my breakfast perfectly and did a very good job taking care of me and the other patrons while I was here.
