If you are making a trip between Kansas City and Joplin, grabbing a bite to eat halfway (almost exactly halfway!) doesn't get much better than Rich Hill Cafe.
Our small group stopped in for Sunday lunch and had a great homey meal of fried chicken. While the menu had basically all the options you could want from a place like this, there was a Sunday special with plenty of options to customize I couldn't refuse. It came out quick with amazing service. The chicken was good, even though I would've liked a little more, and the mashed potatoes and gravy were very tasty. I finished my plate with ease.
Overall, I'd say it was definitely worth what we paid for it, and will go again if I had the opportunity.
