It was terribly busy, still we were seated quicklyi on this Friday evening. We had previously enjoyed the cart tour, sunset ceremony & museum. The bar offers spectacular views & the atmosphere is nice. We order 2 appetizers: Artichoke Dip which was superb and shrimp cocktail which was delicious. Our food order took some time, about 45 minutes. We ordered 1 Steak, 1 Lobster, 1 lobster Mac & cheese, 1 shrimp dish, 1 lobster tail add-on, & a salad. Both lobster dishes were overcooked. The shrimp dish was not good. Steak was cooked as ordered, medium rare and had good flavor. The Lobster Mac & Cheese was delicious. Several of the sides were cold: asparagus potatoes & corn when they arrived at our table. Our party of 6 bill was $480 before gratuities & did not include drinks. We purchased several drinks from the bar & our bartender was very courteous, clever, & served up perfect drinks. We will try it all again hopefully at a time the Buffalo Bar isn’t quite so busy.

Downstairs from the Osage Restaurant is the Buffalo Bar, a great alternative to the restaurant if you do not have the required reservation at the Osage. The establishment is only open between the hours of 4 pm and 9 pm, however, tables are abundant inside and on the huge patio. On clear evenings chances are good that you will be seated quickly.

On our visit, the hostess showed us to our table within a minute of arriving. Before long our server Makayla welcomed us and enquired if we knew what we wanted to drink. The punctual service continued without our meal which began with delicious complimentary mini loaves of fresh bread and rosemary honey butter. Such a fantastic way to start a meal.

This unique rustic, western-themed bar is just as much a restaurant as it is a bar; in fact, it features the same menu as the restaurant above it. If you looking for a cheap meal, you won't find it here, however, you will get a meal and an atmosphere that would put a smile on the late President “Teddy” Roosevelt's face. Yes, your wallet may groan a bit when you pay for this five-star meal but your tastebuds screaming for joy will drown it out.

To keep the billfold moans down, I decided to skip the very tempting beef options and go for the bone-in pork chop. Because the sides were $12 a piece, I opted for just one: the roasted corn. My girlfriend got the roasted chicken and did not notice that the sides were not included, so she ordered the sweet potato mash and the crispy Brussels sprouts. Everything was amazing and full of flavor!!

The pork chop was cooked as I ordered it, keeping its moisture and tenderness. It was easy to cut with a butter knife. Her roasted chicken was the same, just as sweet and juicy, not under or overcooked. The sides hit the spot as well. Even the pickled pears they garnished my plate with went well with the pork chop and the divine chocked cherry dipping sauce.

Thank you Makayla for doing an excellent job keeping us happy and kudos to the chef for the meal that I will always try to achieve from my own grill.

Recently we met friends from out of state in Branson. A trip we had planned for some time. We even called a week before to make sure Buffalo Bar would be open for our visit. We had bragged to our friends about the atmosphere, scenery, etc. at the bar since we had been there several times and wanted to treat them to a drink as the sun went down and to experience the sundown ceremony. After dealing with crowds, traffic and getting to the bar, we were told the bar was closed to the public. It had been reserved by some corporation for some sort of activity. Anyone planning a drink at the bar should reconsider. Don't waste your time.

We dined here recently while a wedding was having their reception in the wine cellar. While this imparted some delays in the kitchen, the overall experience was phenomenal. We started with a cocktail from the bar and watched the Sunset Ceremony from the patio. Once our table was ready, we had a wonderful dinner - filet mignon, truffle mushrooms, bone-in striploin, scallops, and lobster ravioli. The only disappointment was the Artichoke appetizer, but it was easily forgotten with such a wonderful experience otherwise.
As we were leaving, we got to watch the wedding party end their celebration with a fireworks show!

Love the private speakeasy vibe with wine cellars attached. Our bartender was amazing and gave us information on things to do in the area. A very relaxed and mature environment.

We were excited to visit Top of the Rock. After touring the property we went to the Buffalo bar for a cocktail, it was fairly busy. I waited 10 minutes to order a couple of drinks....3 bartenders and not one of them made eye contact or acknowledged my presence. It was disappointing end to a beautiful afternoon. I'm surprised that Johnny Morris would approve of the $20+ they charge for drinks, but I would have paid the high price since we were there celebrating our 50th anniversary. If you visit, stop in to pro shop, grab a couple beers and then enjoy the incredible view!!

We went to dinner(group of 12). Some of us had golfed, we all took the golf cart tour and then went to dinner. I think maybe a server was being trained, but we placed our drink orders and then they took our food orders. One person did not get their salad and finally had to ask. The child with us ordered a pizza. We had all been served and some were finished and he had not gotten his food. The same person that didn’t get salad was brought a lobster tail when he had ordered the lobster dish. They took it back and then he waited for his dish after they suggested he just take it. We got up to watch the sunset ceremony and left everything at the table so there was no question we were still eating and drinking. I came back and my full plate of sea bass was gone. The server was taking some empty glasses off of the table and I said, oh no..they took my full plate of sea bass..literally only 3 bites out of it and it was delicious! She didn’t respond, just kept clearing glasses. 3 decided to order dessert and 3 ordered a drink. It didn't come after quite some time, so we said just cancel and bring bill. The bill was paid and then the desserts and drinks show up and we just said take them back! We didn’t feel that it was that busy, so I’m not sure what was causing all of the issues. We have been to Arnie’s and had great experiences..but can not recommend Buffalo Bar. One of our party talked to a manager or someone and they offered no good reason for our experience!. It’s a beautiful setting but our experience was sub par.
