A stay at Big Cedar Lodge is not complete without at least one meal at Osage. We ate there not once but twice during our weekend stay. Our first meal was on a Saturday evening. My guy had been there before, but this was my first visit. The first thing I noticed about the restaurant was the view before we even walked in the door. The view was absolutely stunning. It had snowed lightly the day before, and so everything was covered with a light blanket of snow. As the sun was going down, it made everything look like a winter wonderland. The interior of the restaurant was beautiful. We were lucky enough to be seated in the back of the restaurant in the area surrounded by windows with the fire pit in the center of the room. Again the view was stunning. Our server was very attentive and took the time to explain some of the selections on the menu. We ordered a bottle of wine to go with our meal. I had salmon and my guy had steak and both were cooked to perfection. I don’t know how we found room, but we did order dessert. It was delicious. We returned the next morning for their breakfast buffet, and oh my, what a treat that was. There were different stations placed all around the restaurant, serving everything from seafood, to pasta, to meat dishes, to breakfast fair. It was a wonderful breakfast. Both meals were on the pricey side, but when you’re on vacation, treating yourself to expensive meals is part of the experience. Next time we return to big Cedar Lodge, Osage will definitely be on our list for a return visit.

A Sunset Symphony of Flavor and Atmosphere
During a recent visit, I had the pleasure of experiencing a truly unforgettable dining moment that seamlessly blended culinary excellence with atmospheric charm. The highlight of the evening was a perfectly cooked tomahawk steak, served medium rare—succulent, flavorful, and expertly seasoned. Accompanied by velvety mashed potatoes, the dish was both comforting and indulgent.
To complement the meal, I enjoyed a Tito’s strawberry martini, which added a refreshing and slightly sweet contrast to the richness of the steak. The pairing was thoughtful and elevated the overall dining experience.
What truly set this evening apart was the outdoor seating, offering a breathtaking view of the sunset. As the sky transitioned through hues of gold and crimson, the gentle sound of bagpipes filled the air, creating a setting that was not only romantic but deeply serene and invigorating.
This restaurant delivers more than just a meal—it offers an experience. From the impeccable food to the enchanting ambiance, I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable evening filled with flavor, beauty, and soul.

Beautiful restaurant with spectacular views. Service and details were nice. Food quality was very average and way overpriced, especially for drinks and spirits.

What a wonderful dining experience! We enjoyed our meal outside with a gorgeous overlook, and the food definitely didn’t disappoint. Our server was fantastic with answers about the food as well as the area. This steak + potatoes girl was easily satisfied and my husband devoured the scallops. Everything was absolutely amazing, and I’d highly recommend this spot. It’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal with a beautiful view!

Food is way overpriced for what it is. We had reservations and got seated right away at the largest table possible. We were so far away from each other we couldn't have a conversation. Got our food within 30 minutes, it was tasty but not any different then ordering salmon and steak from our local Roadhouse. The atmosphere added nothing to justify the price either.

We came here for our anniversary. The place is beautiful, we sat in the atrium area so we were able to enjoy the beautiful sunset. We ordered the 45 oz tomahawk . Flavor was good but was most fat, a little disappointing for the $$$$. Dessert was great.

View from restaurant is incredible and service was excellent. Food would have been rated two stars in normally priced place, given high price of Osage food was way below expectations. Steak was overcooked (near well done) and lobster was rubbery. Was first time in 25 years I had to send food back to kitchen. Buzzard bar food on property is actually better.

I had set up reservations for my girlfriend with champagne and rose petals set up at the table before arriving with a special happy birthday cake for dessert. Everything was perfect. The steaks were prepared perfectly and tasted amazing. All the sides were delicious, and the birthday cake was delicious and moist and not overwhelmingly sweet. I would highly recommend it.

We traveled hours to come eat here, after paying the entry fee, the valet fee, and the meal we were let down by the service. We waited for some time for our own reservation (the ladies at the host stand were so kind!) for our waiter to come give us water, and for our check - not to mention we were charged something additional we didn’t order. Overall the vibes were great and the sunset ceremony was wonderful. I just wish the service would have been better and for such fine dining. Could do without a trip eating here but if you want the vibes, then come.

Wow, just wow! First our wait staff was amazing. I think his name was Yakovic,( sorry if I butchered that buddy), and he was out of this world good to us. I had the special, 16oz bone- in filled and my wife had the 16 oz regular fillet with Brussel sprouts and fried fingerling potatoes 🥔. All super delicious and cooked to perfection. Oh, had pork belly appetizer and this is a MUST have there. So, so good. We can't wait to do back. It was all so delicious 😋
