Was traveling thought Missouri and stopped in Rolla for the night. With 6 adults and 3 children, we decided that Mexican food wood satisfy everyone es needs.
We stopped in to Frida’s and had a great time. The staff were super friendly, and quick to get orders in and onto the table.
The food was fantastic, and everyone, including the kids, cleaned their plates.
Would highly recommend.
great fresh and delicious food. not a completely authentic Mexican flavor but just right for american people who love Mexican food to be comfortable with
Good food but also bit smaller portion sizes compared to other mexi spots in town.
Super fast service
The food is always delicious. On my last visit, my fajita plate was piled with onions, with very little green pepper. That is not the norm. It is normally a well-balanced plate. It was still delicious, I simply left a pile of onions to the side rather than eating them. Salsa and chips are always served while you wait for your entrée. The staff is accommodating to requests. Some of the staff struggle a bit with English as a second language, but there is always a more confident English speaker nearby.
Sometimes, the server forgets to check on drink refills. But the staff help each other out, and someone will soon come by to check on you.
If there is a large party, it can get a bit noisy. However, the restaurant has a nicely divided dining room, and you can request your seating preference.
My friends and I go often, and the staff recognize and greet me, always asking me (or my bff) where the other is when one of us comes by ourselves.
Prices are in line with other nicer establishments with military and hospital employee discounts m - tr, or the value lunch menu with free drink until 3 p.m. for those who like to save money while still getting a great meal.
Authentic music plays in the background and sports on a couple of big screens on the dining side closest to the kitchen.
This place is really good. It was my first time coming to this restaurant and I recommend it. I ordered the Sopes with a horchata; really delicious.
The food was good but the service was great .
What a great place, GREAT food, great service and very friendly!
Highly recommend! Our food was absolutely delicious and prices are reasonable! Will definitely make this my go to for Mexican food.
Everything about them is authentic and impeccable. They do have americanized bites for those who don't like the flavors of traditional Mexican food. Plus the cash discount actually helps!

Great Mexican food. Fridays might be the most authentic place in the Rolla area. Everything is good here.

I had the fajitas, and they were the most bland, lack luster fajitas of my entire life. I had to order 2 different kinds of hot sauce to make them edible. My partner got the quesadilla, it was cold and the cheese was so congealed and glue like it was inedible.

Today was my second time in and I was so disappointed. The first time was great, this time not so much. I ordered online, waited the 15 minutes and came in. The man at the front desk said hello...never looked up and asked what I wanted. I let him know I had an online order and he seemed annoyed and said they're still working on it. No problem. He comes out a bit later, hands me the bag without saying word or even looking in my direction. I was patient and friendly and tipped well on my to go order so I'm not sure why the cold shoulder.
I got the food home and it was pretty sad looking. I didn't order lunch, they were full dinner plates but the amount was much smaller than the previous time. I had the shrimp nachos and my husband had fajitas with the 3 meats. There was hardly any meat and they forgot the tortillas, his favorite part. Also ordered the flan which was delicious last time. This time they covered it in some nasty chocolate sauce, which wasn't in the description or on it last time. I wouldn't have ordered it if I had known.
Photos are of my nachos and my husbands fajita filling, after he loaded it with pepper.
I know I wasn't a customer staying in the restaurant, but it would've been nice to be treated with even a little respect or at least eye contact. My husband is wondering why I talked it up so much and now I am too.
