Finding the best of this: everyone was friendly, coffee flavor was decent, could be a good place to study, and some cute art painted on the walls. Now, on to my least favorite part, but what needs to be said as well. The place needs a deep clean everywhere, and our coffee was served lukewarm. The bathroom and hall smelled like urine and looked like it hadn’t been scrubbed in ages. The mop (on its last limb it looked like) and mop bucket with dark grey, dirty water was left out in the hallway in front of the bathroom door. Where the floor meets the wall looks like it needs some bleach because it’s swollen and discolored…perhaps there was some water damage.
I don’t think I’ll be coming back. We love to support local, but this place kind of grossed us out.

There are lots of places in Rolla to get a sugary coffee drink, but this place is the only one I've found that serves good, black coffee. And they rotate their coffee, so they always have something good to try. It's a shame that I didn't find this place until after I moved out of Rolla. The service isn't always the friendliest, but for good coffee, I can deal with it.

Chase is the star of the show! Always very polite to customers, takes time out of his day to make sure everyone leaves satisfied and feels special. Coffee always tastes great, calm atmosphere, and great people!
Kid-friendliness: Many games to play including chess, board games, card games, and Chase sometimes hides cards for Find that Pokémon!

I used to LOVE giddy goat, would go there nearly daily. Sadly, after 3 years away from town, it definitely isn't what it used to be, at least the day I went. The coffee was only lukewarm and barista wasn't very professional. I LOVE giddy goat and I want it to be great, it just wasn't today, maybe its better when the college students are in town. I hope it is!
Absolutely adorable little place, fun decor, welcoming. I had the stellar latte and I was super impressed. It wss a flavor combo I would never have come up with but was delicious. Staff was very friendly and I would definitely come back if I was in the area.

I have been a patron for 15+ years. The espresso is great and for the most part consistently pulled. I enjoy a plain latte most of the time. This is the best espresso in town, however, over the past few years, it's slowly become unreliable. Several times over the past few months, the dark roast has been out for multiple days. At one time, it was out for a couple of weeks. They've also had issues keeping their lids stocked so they have to use flimsy and ill fitting lids in the interim which has led to more than one disaster. There is clearly an ordering issue regularly happening. The owner should be present to make sure this type of thing isn't happening. The last thing that has really gotten out of control is the cleanliness. The baseboards are so filthy, the floors are filthy, there's dust everywhere... The place needs an overhaul. The owner is never there anymore. He used to be there nearly every time I went. I used to live out of state and would come in once or twice a year and I'd still manage to see him every time. Now, in three years, I've seen him once, and I go multiple times a week. The staff says he's almost never there. College students with no long term investment in the success or demise of this coffee shop are the ones running it. At this point, the giddy goat is running on its good name, but the experience is greatly diminished from what it once was. They are even losing their reliability in espresso pours with the newest employee. Every time he makes my drinks, they are off. I hate to write a review like this, but Ben needs to get in there, get it cleaned up, and get the staff in order. He needs to show some appreciation to his long time customers. Almost the entire staff is leaving in two weeks, and they haven't trained a single replacement. It's clearly becoming more disorganized by the day. So sad. Would love Rolla to have a nice coffee shop where it's comfortable and clean to go sit for a while. The giddy goat could be so much more. They could partner with crepe escape or have live music once in a while. They could have a corner with some toys for young kids. They could clean up the building a little... It's such a shame to see what it's becoming because there's is so much potential.
