I love both Scruff’s and American Taco equally. It’s the only place we stop to eat every time we drive through Rolla. Ron and Vanessa both are amazing people, and they have built an amazing crew.I was diagnosed with Alpha Gal Syndrome three years ago, and the owners have always catered to my food allergy… making sure to use new gloves every time they prepare my food, assuring me that my food is safe and no cross contamination took place, as well as making sure that if I eat fried foods that they use a different fryer than the one the red meat products have been in.Will forever be a returning customer!Dietary restrictions: Alpha Gal Syndrome friendly restaurant

I'll start by saying that I have never once been disappointed by the food. I'm always full and have never had a disappointing meal here.However, whoever the red-headed man that works there is is completely out of line and needs to be properly trained on how to speak to people.I have Alpha-Gal and on two separate occasions he has made completely uncalled for comments. The first time, I told him of my condition when he took my order and requested that the cooks please change gloves. He then told me that Alpha-Gal was made by the government and I needed to "do my research and not be blind to facts".The second time he was in the kitchen and when the gentlemen that took our order (he was very understanding and polite by the way) asked him to change him gloves, he stated "Alpha-Gal isn't even real but sure I'll change gloves."How do people think this kind of stuff is okay to say out loud to your customers faces and where you know the customers can hear you from the kitchen? I probably won't find myself going back to Scruffs due to this. He should keep his opinions to himself and not act so ignorant towards things he clearly has no knowledge on.I don't get to enjoy a meal out very often out of fear of a reaction causing harm to me, and hearing this from someone that I am supposed to be trusting with my food does NOT make me feel good about where I'm spending my money and time.Dietary restrictions: If you have Alpha-Gal I recommend you go to a different restaurant.

I'm celiac, and saw reviews that they have gluten free options, including a dedicated fryer and an ACTUAL GF bun (most places use GF bread) The lady working the counter was AMAZING answering all my questions and concerns, letting me know what was safe and what wasn't. Being a cheeseburger&fries type of girl, I was ecstatic to find a place where I can get one, and the better part, I didn't have a reaction. The staff in the kitchen was amazing and careful to prevent cross contamination and made delicious food! They also answered questions I had regarding sauces, and were diligent to make sure which ones were safe&check ingredients. Their burgers ,fries, S.G. sauce and housemade ranch are super Delicious and can't recommend enough!Dietary restrictions: I'm celiac (allergic to gluten) and they have options that are safe, including a GF bun steamed in the bag, a dedicated fryer, and knowledgeable staff on what's gluten free, safe, and prevent cross-contamination
