3 of us ordered comfort food, one ordered a pizza. The pizza was shared (we all shared) and it was delicious. The Mac n cheese was great, as were the French fries. The mashed potatoes and gravy were 7/10. The tenderloin was disgusting, dark and super fatty and stringy, inedible. We expressed that everything was quite good but the tenderloin was just a bad slice of meat. She said she would adjust the bill. It was reduced by 3 dollars which is more laughable than insulting, but...
WOW! What a find in a tiny town! The food was excellent, the service was top notch and our server was super friendly and the atmosphere is homey. We each had omelets and then we shared the half loaded biscuit because you almost have to! Bottom of the biscuit, American fries (so crispy, just like I love them) topped with a sausage patty, scrambled egg, sausage gravy and the top of the biscuit, it was insanely good. We made ourselves sick because we had to try this and we were not...
Ordered chicken fried steak, huge but so tough that a steak knife barely cut through it. They took it back, apologized; reordered a chicken sandwich which was tasty. Nice crispy dinner salad. Friendly staff. Drive Hwy 50 fairly frequently...haven't decided if I will try again.
