Really great BBQ spot overall just could have used a little more clarification on what the food would be based on the menu and the service could have been better. Atmosphere is top notch. I had the Turkey Club Wrap with Pepper Jack and it was a little unreasonably spicy which is unusual for a turkey Club. My wife and child's food was great though. Hoping to come back again and try out some more typical BBQ items.Parking: Be prepared to park in the back lot and walk over. The restaurant parking lot is small/frequently overtaken by the adjacent hotel

This place smells great. We had brisket salads served by a wonderful and cheerful woman. Fantastic. We’ve been riding 245 miles just to get back and have another meal.

Food here has gone downhill since last year, 2023. Went for dinner a few nights ago. Cornbread dry, cold. Fried green tomatoes, mushy. Brisket had to cut with a knife, like it was leftover from lunch. Bad service, waiter was high as a kite.

Service was slow and got slower as the restaurant filled. The waiter must have been new because he didn't seem to know the menu or or what their "low country sauce" was which is on multiple entres.

I love the feel of this place. All of the wood gives it a very classy country vibe. The BBQ here is probably the best in STL, and I drive from KC just to have it. I met up with some friends here at 3PM, so it was in the middle of a dead period. The meat was tender, but the sides were a little lacking on flavor. (I've been here a few times, so this was a one-off. Normally, they are very good.) Everything was very clean, which I would expect during the downtime. Excellent quantity of food for the prices. One downside is parking, though. The lot is limited and hard to turn around in. We parked in the open parking lot for walkers and walked up to the restaurant. This isn't bad unless you have a medical condition or get easily winded.Parking: The parking lot is tiny with only a handful of spots. It's cramped and hard to turn around in. Park in the open lot thar joggers use and walk the distance.

Website needs updating. They didn't have bourbon flights "anymore" even though it is featured on their website and was why we went there.

Very mediocre at best. Decent atmosphere and wait staff. Ribs were terrible. Ours were extremely rare and very tough. None of the BBQ Sauce selection was anything to brag about either. Two families went, no one impressed.

It’s rare that I wouldn’t simply not recommend a restaurant, but actively advise those I know against it. Hendrick’s BBQ may have achieved that honor. My wife and I previously dined here in 2021 and were underwhelmed, but we chalked it up to COVID’s adverse impact on the restaurant industry. We decided to give it another chance, but to our dismay, it was one of the most disappointing culinary experiences either of us have ever had.To start with the good/neutral, service was decent. Atmosphere was a bit quiet & the staff seemed a little bored, but I think we were there during a pretty slow point in the day and no one was unpleasant so I don’t count that against Hendrick’s. Their sauces are also solid—nothing mind-blowing, but they check all the basic expectations of a barbecue joint. On to the bad. My wife and I split a pick 2 meal: brisket, rib tips, green beans, and Mac n cheese with sweet tea. After finishing it, I am convinced that Hendrick’s BBQ is afraid of flavor. The Mac n cheese is a bland, slightly-buttery and certainly-not-cheesy penne with what I believe are bread crumbs on top that contributed no flavor. The green beans were even more flavorless—an impressive feat considering they were cooked with onions and bacon, which if blindfolded I could not have picked out due to their absent taste. I attempted to perform some emergency flavor resuscitation with salt and pepper, to no avail. Even the sweet tea tasted watered down—even for me, who normally prefers a slightly-less-sweet sweet tea, it was shockingly plain. The brisket mercifully had some hints of pepper & smoke, but the distractingly large amount of fat overwhelmed any value those brought. The rib tips, by contrast from the rest of our meal, were actually quite tasty—if only they hadn’t been about 75% cartilage, fat, and bone, they might have been enough to cast a silver lining on the experience. It’s a sad day when the most exciting part of the meal was the slice of white bread glazed with sauce from the rib tips.I can honestly say I do not think we will dine here a third time.
