Decent pizza spot. Had pizza & mac n cheese. Nothing stood out but I would definitely be willing to try other menu items

The salad was chopped into such small pieces you literally needed a spoon to eat it.

Pizza was very soggy, the outside rim was hard as tack bread while the center was pizza soup. I've eaten here many times and never had such blatant negligence.

We drove all the way from Highland, IL to meet my oldest for lunch at Padavan's. He was excited about eating here with us. Online it says it was open. The ours today, Saturday, opens at 11. However, it was not. There have been about 7 people go to their door (it's locked) only to venture over to Casa Mia (they pulled their business.) Maybe next Padavan's....

The new concept and decor is great! We had dinner and it was nice to have a sit down meal in a restaurant and not like the old concept that felt more bar’ish. Food was incredible, the penne pasta with chicken. The menu clearly showed the prices and description of what you are ordering. Marcus, the Chef, came out to visit those eating, to make sure the food was cooked to our satisfaction. Nice touch!

BEWARE!! Ordered takeout- 3 hamburger wraps and “seasoned” fries. I was given 3 side choices: fries, seasoned fries or a salad for up charge. Turns out the “seasoned” fries are not seasoned they are dunked cayenne pepper and not edible. My 11 year old was the first to eat one and now has blisters in her mouth and welts on her lips and around her face. Also, after reading other reviews I noticed the owner only “loves” or “likes” a positive comment but won’t acknowledge a dissatisfied customer 🤔

The service and food was great. The shrimp scampi and chicken picatta were very tasty and the presentation of the food is much improved. The new look of the restaurant is refreshing. Great and timely service.

The new dining room aesthetic is wonderful, and Markus’ food is always delicious. Some of the best in the whole St Louis area. The staff is very friendly and service is on point. We’re very lucky that such an outstanding restaurant is right in our neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Let me start off by saying this is an honest review from a newby in the New Town area and this place came highly recommended.I was recommended this place for their wings and pizza. I ordered the wings because I had just had pizza the other night and wanted to save that for another day. What I was dissatisfied in was the amount of food, or lack thereof. They sell their wings in a 1lb increment which, in my case, resulted in 8 wings (I ordered hot with blue cheese because that's my standard to test any wing place out). I had asked for carrots only because I don't like celery and I'm not kidding that I got 4 carrot sticks the size of pencils (see the photo). That's where the ice berg tipped. While their hot wings were delicious and the blue cheese homemade and very good, I just can't justify the price... For the same price you normally get 10 wings and around, at least, 10 carrot sticks not the size of pencils. I eat wings a lot and I cannot recommend getting them here because I left hungry. I don't usually leave negative reviews and I'm impartial here because the food was tasty, but I cannot stand being charged $16 and leaving hungry. That's a big no no to me. On top of that the beer was $6.5 a glass, higher than any other restaurant in the square.I ate at Casa Mia next door a few nights ago and got their California burrito which was also very good for $12 and I could barely finish the plate. I also got a few beers here for less than $5 a beer.I know Padavan's just went through an entire remodel a few weeks months and new everything, yada, yada, but that doesn't justify leaving hungry for the price you pay, especially for wings. All in all I paid $40 with a tip for 8 wings, 4 measly carrot sticks, and 2 beers. Needless to say as much as I want to try their pizza, I will not be back to do so as there are a lot of other great pizza places around for less money. And again, I left hungry.Oh, and I love pinball and while the machines were in great shape, almost all of them are $1 per play which is atrocious. Most pinball places I have been to are $0.50 per play. They also only have 5 pinball machines now instead of the 11-12 before the remodel.Last thing, their website clearly states that the kitchen closes at 10pm under "hours", but when the family behind me came in at 8:55pm the waitress said they needed to hurry and get a food order in if they wanted food because they stopped serving food at 9pm. Might I add this was a Friday night too.I cannot recommend it now. Save yourself the money and go elsewhere unless you have a need to really try their pizza for whatever reason. The whole menu is overpriced now.
