I got food poisoning from this restaurant. From the moment my party arrived we were sat at a grill with dirt, grime and old cooked food. My relative could not sit down due to vegetables and cooked food being on the floor next to her seat. I ordered Salmon and told the cook I was allergic to shellfish, he had my fish and shellfish on the same tray and instead of replacing my fish cooked it anyway. My friends scallops weren’t done at all. This service was just horrid. I’m never coming here again.

ok, this is my childhood Shogun I LOVE IT SO MUCH, there fried rice tastes like its from HEAVEN i love the veggies there so good, i love the shrimp and everytime we come here i get the medium cooked steak, and the soup.... it tastes SO GOOD like BUSSIN BUSSIN! i havent really tried anything else yet but when i try them i will write another review after i try it,

Amazing service, great food, and entertaining! Would come here every week if I could! The place is a cute hole in the wall with a bar and a cozy vibe to it. This is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants.Kid-friendliness: The chef was very entertaining and friendly, making it a fun experience for most kids.

Food and service were amazing. The chefs still know how to put on a good show and cooked our order perfectly. I wish we lived closer to visit more often. This will definitely be one of our stops if we get to back to the St. Louis area!

Came here for my birthday dinner. Location is in a strip mall . Small dainty hole in the wall . They only had one chef so we had to go on first come first serve even with a reservation. Chef was very good but very quick. Gave a good show and had a great attitude. Server did as well. Food was good hot and plentiful . Very affordable menu. The only complaint was no air. It was so hot. We were in and out. No lounging.

Small, cozy, and absolutely delightful service and food! Took our family and it was easily the best Japanese grill we've been to. In particular, I'm on a very specific medical diet and it's always stressful going to a new place -- Shogun's staff didn't even bat an eye. Double checked what I couldn't have, asked if I need a clean grill, and made sure I didn't accidentally get anything I shouldn't, and were kind about the entire thing like it was no big deal. Will be returning for sure!Vegetarian options: Typical hibachi grill options, which means you can choose to have veggies as an entree. Veggie mix includes zucchini, carrot, and onion.Dietary restrictions: I found them to be very accommodating when I communicated what I couldn't eat, including a willingness to use a clean grill/tools. I opted to skip sauces because I personally get tired of asking to see ingredient lists, but the food was still delicious and well-seasoned.
