Nice place to get food and relax for a while.
It's a wonderful little hometown cafe like they used to have any old days. The people are nice and friendly and the food looks like it came from your mama's house

Rarely do you find this kind of quality and quantity at such a fair price point. The flavors are fantastic and the portions are generous. Highly recommended!

The brand new ownership switch was exactly what this restaurant needed. Back to it's roots per say. The young man that bought the business off the courtyard steps did fabulous in the rehabilitation of it before selling it to the new owner. Looking forward to seeing it grow and replicate the old Lewis that everyone loved so much.

On road trip from Texas and this little cafe turned out to be a gem. Great food, service, and vibes. My omelette and waffle were perfect. Will be back.

We stopped in from Texas looking for breakfast, what we found was 5 Daniels all in the same room, turns out the Daniel serving us was the owner and we had wonderful tasting fresh food and an even better conversation! Very personable staff with a great atmosphere! I would highly recommend Lewis Cafe if you are ever in St. Clair MO and are hungry or want a good coffee with a great experience!!

I have Alpha Gal and ventured out for lunch for the first time since having symptoms. The cooks cleaned the grill before cooking the chicken for my wrap so that there wouldn’t be any cross contamination! Not only were all of the staff friendly and provided great service but they could have easily just ignored my dilemma. Instead they went above and beyond to provide a delicious lunch that I didn’t get sick from! I’ve always liked Lewis Cafe! This made my day! You all rock!

This place has gone downhill unfortunately, my last visit was my last. Service was minimal, food sat in window for 15 minutes. Omelet was cold and drenched in oil. Pancake was cold chewy. Over easy eggs were rubbery.

Went by web site, said open so drove 45 mins and the are closed for a “Cleaning Day”. What a waste
Three of us all ordered different sandwiches and sides. My Ruben was very good as were the others. The fries and onion rings were tastey. The menue was lacking soups and the wonderful pies served for many years. We were assured they will soon be back. The next time we are in the area we hope for pies like my aunt used to bake, excellence on a plate.
The dinning room now has booths along the walls. The free city paved parking lot seems to have better landscaping and the street parking ia easy.

First time we've been back since it reopen. It's been painted outside and in and looks real nice. My husband ordered the pancakes and I order an omelet made into a wrap. Well the pancakes were really good and huge. My wrap was pretty greasy and I didn't care for the taste of it, like maybe the grill needed to be cleaned. There was a steady flow of customers coming in so they must be doing something right but for me it was a miss.
This review was from over a year ago once we visit again now that it has reopened I will post an updated review.
