First time we've been back since it reopen. It's been painted outside and in and looks real nice. My husband ordered the pancakes and I order an omelet made into a wrap. Well the pancakes were really good and huge. My wrap was pretty greasy and I didn't care for the taste of it, like maybe the grill needed to be cleaned. There was a steady flow of customers coming in so they must be doing something right but for me it was a miss.
This review was from over a year ago once we visit again now that it has reopened I will post an updated review.

Absolutely perfect. I thought the old Lewis was gone. It is not. It is as good as when I was a kid.

1st time eating there. The service was good, the kitchen was slow, but the food was delicious!! Worth the wait! We will be back.

Ate here for a late breakfast traveling back to Oklahoma. Friendly service, large portions-you won't go hungry. Glad we stopped.

Slimmed down menu. Lots of the old favorites are gone. The BLT is still worth the trip.

Sue Lue made our visit for breakfast pleasant and memorable. The omelet was good and the bacon crispy. A clean, cute place.

This was our first time coming here. Staff was grumpy and arguing/yelling at each other. They were complaining about even being open and not wanting to work there. Servers were loudly complaining about someone hiding in the office and not helping. When ice was refilled in the ice chest someone stuck their bare hand in there to flatten the ice. Ew. I saw other guests walkout before their meals because of bad service. Before we even went in we were warned by a guest leaving that the staff wasn’t friendly. Food was really good! I didn’t get a refill on my drink until she brought us the check. Servers were also arguing about who was taking which table because neither of them wanted to serve them. And they were out of a lot of menu items as well.

First time in Lewis Cafe! I will return! I had a very tasty cheeseburger and fries. The bun had a nice grill on it as well. The fries as a side were good. I was gifted two onion rings and could have eaten a whole plate of those. Very well done. My only critique in the negative was that they were out of pickles! Our waitress Sue was a real sweetie!

The food was great. I had the country fried steak and it was cooked well and I liked the breading. When I was checking out I commented to the waitress that the meal was more affordable than most restaurants I visit, and she told me that they had recently worked out a deal that let them lower their prices mainly because many of their patrons are on a fixed income. It honestly moved me to tears of joy to hear of a business putting people over profit in the spirit of service. In my opinion that's how you win at capitalism, by caring about people more than padding the bottom line.

Just got back to the UK having driven route 66 for two weeks. This place stood out, the staff are some of the most friendly people we met on our travels, and we met a lot of friendly folk so that is saying something! They did everything they could to make sure we had the most enjoyable and memorable time in their cafe. Food was great, huge portions, the big breakfast comes on three plates!!! Thanks again guys and it was a pleasure to meet you all.

It was a great lunch for us. Food was delicious and the bar stools when you first walk in are a perfect size you young kids to be cute. Food was a little more expensive than I wanted to spend, but I suppose its that way across the board with any resturant.

I have been eating at Lewis Cafe most of my life. This evening we stop in for dinner and not only was sue our server phenomenal but the roast beef and pies were great. In and out in less than 30 mins. Sue we love your effort and smile
One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had recently. A friend and I went for breakfast on the weekend. We got there around 10:15am or so. It took several minutes for one of the people working to set us up at a table as they were busy talking with each other, even though they had a handful of tables open. We sat for about 20 minutes before we were approached by a server. We had simple orders- two of their most popular dishes. We were told lunch couldn’t be ordered until noon.
We waited and waited until about 11:20, when lunch orders were starting to be put up in the window. People who had gotten there way after us were getting their food. Another couple behind us had also been waiting about as long as we had and noticed the same thing. The couple said something to the staff, all of them acting like they didn’t care. The “manager” looked annoyed as the couple complained.
This is one of the rudest staff experiences I have ever encountered. Everyone who worked there looked miserable and preferred to focus on themselves and their conversations rather than providing service to the customers. Needless to say, both my friend and I, and the other couple left. Waiting over an hour for practically zero service and a sour vibe was not how I wanted to start off my weekend.
0/10- find a different place to eat breakfast.
