We had a wonderful dinner with friends here on Saturday night! The hostess was friendly. Our waitress Whitney was a gem! Very kind, sweet, accommodating and genuine. We enjoyed her presence and she provided timely, professional service.
The food was wonderful! We had the house made rangoon and bacon wrapped scallops for appetizers (highly recommend) the bisque was delicious, as was the surf n turf, ribeye and mashed potatoes, seafood special and the seabass. Our drinks were good as well.
Only negative mark is the women's bathroom had toilet paper on the floor, but it was a busy Saturday night.

Sybill and her team make this a lovely visit with so many delicious options. I had the beef carpaccio salad at lunch today. Not only was it superb going down, it was beautifully plated as you can see in my photo. Sybill warmly remembers all her guests and has the venue decorated for every season--which is also reflected in the varied menu.

Came for my birthday dinner with friends and although they were busy (and our waitress was dealing with a kinda rude 12 top behind us) she was always smiling and apologizing for our wait. We didn't mind. I mean, if I was dealing with people like that on the daily, I don't know if I could keep my composure that well. Food was excellent as always and so were drinks. As we were walking out someone who worked there even offered to take our photo in front of the fireplace which was very kind of them.

Great place for a date! The food is well prepared and the service is awesome. There are some really nice cocktails and a good wine selection. Only bummer is that they do not offer Spencer manor wines. We would go more often if we could enjoy our favorite local wine with our dinner.

We have been dinning at this restaurant for years. It never ceases to impress me. Every detail is amazing from the decor which transport you to a romantic elegant yet cozy environment to the delicious inspired food. The wait staff is spectacular. They make you feel at home and important. Every restaurant we visit I have a favorite waiter but here they are all incredible. Sybil always makes you feel welcomed and valued. She does everything in her power to make your dinning experience memorable. Highly recommend her tasty Asian pork dumplings, roasted ravioli, melt in your mouth steaks, moist pork chop and all her desserts are incredible(delicious bread pudding). Don’t leave without a visit to her gift shop. I have bought jewelry, clothes, purses and lovely home decor. Shop is full of treasures.
My husband and I came with my parents for dinner while visiting St. James and were absolutely amazed. Having lived in big cities like London, Toronto, and Miami we were speechless with how amazing the food was in a small quaint restaurant in middle on Missouri. We both agreed it was one of the nicest restaurants we’d been to. Our server James was so sweet, my husband and I thanked him personally. Food was top notch!…Perfectly warmed, AMAZING menu! BOH you guys are amazing people! Also, loved the upscale vibe, always a pleasure to have a nice fine dining experience.

We manage to make the trip to Sybil's twice a year. For us it's an hour drive but well worth the dining experience. We have yet to walk away dissatisfied. I was once told consistency is a key factor for a successful restaurant. Sylbil's is always consistent. I'm sure they will be around for a long time.
