Was super early in the morning so I wasn’t expecting amazing service the server and cook ( only 2 people working in the store) were nice enough but due to a large group (6 or so people big for a 2 man crew) I was left with out a refill on my drink

Been here many times and no issues. However, Aug 22 at 9pm was something else. I saw 5 people behind the counter and not a single one seemed to know what they were doing. My wife and I sat down to order and waited 10 minutes before we head to ask someone to take our drink order. Then once the drink order was served they never returned to take our meal order. They were just all hanging around the cash register talking and hanging out. Ocassionally going into the back and disappearing for a bit. When we asked to place your order we were told to hang on because they had to figure some things out. After another 10 minutes we decided to leave but they stopped us and finally took our order but told us it might be a minute before they start it. They tried to get us to stay however at that point and it already been over 30 minutes and the only thing we had was our drinks. Nothing looked like it was going to change anytime soon so we left.

Why can’t I give this place 6 stars? While visiting my grandson stationed at nearby Fort Leonardwood, we had breakfast at this Waffle House. This was my first time visiting any Waffle House and now I wish we had one here in the California High Desert. The staff was more than friendly and took care of us like we were friends. We had a great breakfast and the total bill for five of us was $28. You can’t feed two people anywhere in California for less than $30. I actually reviewed the check to make sure she left nothing off and it was accurate. I want a Waffle House here ASAP.

Waffle House is what it is. It's a nice little diner to grab something to eat on your own or with a friend. It's great especially when it's not real busy because you get great interactions with the staff. This one in saint Roberts gets a bad rap from a hand full of people but most of them seem raised with a silver spoon or they are used to the big city hustle. The food is standard for a waffle house but the service is on par. They were great, never had to remind them on any of my trips about the coffee or water. They even know my order when I walk in before I sit down. The atmosphere is like any waffle house as it's that small town diner feel. Almost what Denney's used to be before they remodeled them all and lost all their good qualities.

The green and purple haired waitress that served us was lacking in communication, took forever to take our order, bring us our drinks AND forgot to put our order in before it came out wrong. We spent 2 hours in Waffle House mostly waiting for our wrong order/missing items. When I mentioned the charge for cheese in my hashbrowns she was dismissive and rudely told me “it’s just 50 cents.” When my friend mentioned his missing items she was prompt to correct her error which I found rude after her being so dismissive with me. She had mentioned having a long night/day before but that is not an excuse for bad service or lacking in your profession. You should have called in if you can’t do your job correctly.
