My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for over 15 years. We’ve supported this business through every season, watched it grow, and continued to spend our money here because we truly enjoyed the food and the people.

However, over the past several months starting sometime in 2024—I’ve noticed a decline in the quality of the food and a concerning inconsistency with pricing. I order the same items each time, yet the total changes from visit to visit. Some days it’s $13, other days it’s $16, with no explanation for the difference.

I recently addressed the issue after realizing I was being charged different prices for the same order. The explanation I received didn’t fully make sense and was brushed off as a mistake. Additionally, the cashier speaks very limited English, which makes it difficult to clarify and understand what I’m being charged for. The females in the store are rude get better treatment from the original cook . It's clear that in 2025 if you are being treated a certain way while walking into a cultural restaurant or store, it's probably clear that they only want to serve and cater to their own kind.

I genuinely want to continue supporting this restaurant, but the inconsistent pricing and lack of clear communication are becoming frustrating and feel a bit questionable. Maybe put the prices of the food items BACK on the menu especially if there's a language barrier . I've even been nice enough to come back after finding hair in my food . Of course no big deal bc things happen and I was a real supporter. I hope they take this feedback seriously and make improvements, because longtime customers like myself do notice these changes. I won't be coming back for awhile or spending my there.

Food was amazing, price is a little up there but it’s similar to all the other Mexican places here in town.

I bought Tamales for my dia de muertos party here and they were delicious! They even sold me the last marigold plant because I had been searching for one for weeks and it completed my ofrenda. Such a blessing to find this place!

The food here was really good. We were expecting a little different atmosphere. No chips and salsa were offered with dine-in. Pricing was very high compared to other restaurants.

This place is definitely a hidden gem. The moment I heard the music and saw the Mexican spices/candy on the right and Mexican bread in the back, I thought I was in Socal for a second. The most authentic spot I been so far in Missouri.

Down to earth, authentic taqueria. So glad we made the quick excursion here from Hwy 50 to grab dinner while on a road trip. We opted for street tacos, and there are many flavorful meat fillings that are generously portioned in warm corn tortillas. We arrived at this small shop shortly before closing and received friendly, attentive service. Quick, simple, and hearty — really hit the spot for these travellers!

Heads up, we originally were looking for "Taqueria la Michoacana" (https://maps.app.goo.gl/D4rmsa1omwWBaWDW7) and almost drove by before realizing this is the same place.

Food was really tasty and service was fast and friendly. Restroom was not too clean and tray of bread next to the restroom was a bit questionable ?

I got a chorizo breakfast burrito with rice and beans. It was $16 for the burrito, which is a little bit high. The burrito was really good and came with two sauces, crema, and a side of guacamole, lettuce and a tomato slice. The roja and salsa verde were delicious. Would definitely visit again!

If you haven't eaten here, you're missing out. They have the best authentic tacos in all of Missouri. I haven't tried anything else on the menu because I can't get past the tacos, tongue tacos that is and they are yummy!
