its dark, dingy and dirty in there. went with my wife's work for an employee and family dinner. pretty large group. my family and I were the last in the group to order. I ordered a ribeye medium rare with a baked potato and onion rings for appetizer. the food comes and my steak is a solid 5-10 minutes behind everyone's food including my family's. it arrived and was like a piece of leather, well done black, and disgusting. I told the waitress and she takes it away saying she will bring my potato back so I have something. 10 minutes later my new steak arrives with my original, now cold, potato. cut the steak. its raw, not a little raw, but red, uncooked, cold, raw. I get the waitress, she takes it back and im left foodless while 30 people eat their entire meal. by the time my now twice cooked steak and stone cold potato came back the bill was paid and people with the party were leaving. the waitress literally brought a box out with my steak and said id need it. Amongst all the back and forth I realized I never even got my appetizer onion rings. I tell the waitress and she juat says "sorry" and walks off. This place sucks! I would never spend my own money here.
The best restaurant for fine dining in the area. Worth the drive from Branson. This is our new favorite restaurant. Make reservations.

I recommend everything about Steak Inn. Delicious.
Had the best dinner there Saturday night. My walleye and our steaks were excellent!
This is a pretty special place. We were in town from Kansas City and 5 of us came in on a Sunday evening. Jessica was wonderful, the food and cocktails were great as well. Don’t sleep on the quail!

Been going for years. You just can't get a better steak at a restaurant in this area, not when they cook over actual coals, not gas or electric. Salad bar is small but very good and always fresh. And the bread is amazing as well. If you haven't been you have to try it!

First, know that there are no prices on menu as others have stated in reviews, they will tell you - you should have asked. But when you are entertaining or with other people, it seems cheap to ask the waitress for prices. Menu states steaks come with a loaded baked potato. Potato was scrawny and had nothing on it. When ask about the loaded part of it we were told we could get cheese, bacon, bits, and onions at the salad bar . Cheese was a block so what you are left with is a big slice of cheddar cheese. Onions were whole so you had to take them back to your table and cut them Sour cream comes in a little tube. as others have stated you could wait in line for 15 to 20 minutes to get your fixings for your potato while your food got cold. I would not sell them as loaded. Absolutely the worst margarita I have ever had. There were four of us and no one wanted it so we paid for a margarita that no one drank. Service was lackluster saw the waitress upon ordering once to follow up, and to present the bill. The excuse is always we’ve been in business for 48 years but keep in mind that is because there is nowhere else to go. Since they are successful, they make no attempt at having the best of anything other than the steaks. The other items are just to get them by. If you order the stuffed shrimp, keep in mind it will likely not be what you’re expecting. It is a deep fried shrimp With melted cheese on the inside. The bread was delicious , it comes out with your food so really did not get to enjoy it. It should come out with your salad while you wait for your food. I hope this place is around another 48 years, but if they don’t make some changes as others has suggested in the reviews, don’t count on it. Institutions should not rely on their past to dictate their futures. Some of the best restaurants around, have closed because of their unwillingness to adapt. The thing that really got me was no menu prices. Print off paper menus as prices change. Even if you have to do it once a week. They need to read the reviews as this is the main sticking point for other peoples comments. I have only been five times over the last few years, but will not be going back. Wait for it………. The snarky response from the owner. That speaks volumes
