The service is very good, but the food is very mid. The rolls are the best part, but skip on the catfish and hush puppies for sure.
Also the no shared plates rule makes no sense. Not sure how they can enforce you not splitting your plate with a family member, this is not a buffet. If you pay for a plate why would Norm care who gets to eat off of it.

I DREAM ABOUT THIS PLACE DAILY! THE ROLLS JUST MELT IN YOUR MOUTH AND THE BANANA PUDDING IS CREAMY DELICIOUSNESS!!!!! I ATE MY ENTIRE PLATE AND 2 ROLLS AND SAVED 4 FOR THE ROAD! THE COLD CHUNKY APPLESAUCE AND THE CORN IS LIFE CHANGING, LITERALLY CANT EAT APPLE SAUCE THE SAME WITHOUT REMEMBERING HOW GOOD THIS APPLESAUCE WAS!

If you are anywhere near Interstate 55 crossing Interstate 57 you owe it to yourself to stop in Lamberts where the service is A1 and food is even better we ate so much we had to chill in the parking lot for a minute before hitting the road thanks Lambert for a good time and our server Shaun was great.
Lots of fun! My husband always talked about Lambert's from when he was younger and since we were in TN from PA, we decided to go there. I would highly recommend getting the pot roast and the white beans! The pass arounds are such a great idea to be able to try all of those extras! The sorghum and apple butter were tasty as well! He enjoyed his country fried steak which came in a massive skillet. Definitely a great experience!

One of my very favorite restaurants. Always fun and great food.
Me and my father get Lamberts every year on our annual trip to visit close friends after Christmas. This year we were waited on by Joann and she was amazing! She took care of our two orders and the two to-go orders we had swiftly and efficiently. She was very welcoming and made us feel like we had known her forever. We also could talk at an indoor voice level and still hear eachother well considering how busy they were. I recommend Lambert’s to anybody that loves a welcoming environment with good communication and warm atmosphere.

12/28/25 were there this evening. People are nice, service by our waiter was good, food terrible. Ordered catfish and chicken and dumplings, too much breading on little fish, three dumplings in small bowl. Rolls were good, poor quality food.

Food was not no where as good as it used to be to be. Pork steak and beef liver were tough to cut and chew. Burnt hamburger bun. Been years since we were there. Will be years if we go back.
