This is the BEST CAPTAIN D's. They taste like they did years ago. The flavor is still there, I go here at least 3-5times per month. I LOVE THERE "FISH-COLESLAW-SHRIMP-OKRA-HUSH PUPPIES"!!! The best tasting cocktail and tartar sauce in the "COUNTRY" !!!

I stopped by this captain. D's this Friday evening at 5:45 to pick up a DoorDash delivery. The doors are locked and I was told to go to the drive through. Why are the doors locked at 5:45 in the evening? I go through the drive through I. Request some extra tartar sauce. He says it's in the bag. I said, can I please get some R? He said it's in the bed. I said, excuse me, I'm asking you for some extra tartar sauce. He then goes in search of tartar sauce. He comes back grabs 2 which I had indicated before he walked away. I wanted 2 extra because the customer had requested. Extra He drops one back in the box and brings it to me the 1I said, can i get too? He's and you said you wanted one I said I've said 2 before you walked away and he just stared at me like i have 3 heads. Why am I having such a hard time? Getting tartar sauce and why are the doors locked at 545 on a Friday? I will never give this captain. Dees my business ever again, not on a personal level. And again, why were the doors locked at 5:45? In the evening on a Friday night, there were employees in there.

Well first…I was there earlier than anyone should ever be at captain D’s (literally the minute they opened). They were so friendly and made sure I had a beverage during my wait and even threw in 5 extra shrimp for my wait. I didn’t even mind waiting. Great experience overall. Food was hot and fresh.

No one answers the phone. Hours of closing are not consistent. They are supposed to be open until 10pm but t times they close just after 6pm.
I went there at 7:50 and they said they were closing and he was sending his employees home when it’s suppose to be open until 10

YOU WILL WANT TO READ THIS REVIEW. Oct 14, 2024... I order a 2pc fish w/ a side. I pay and sit down. 20 min later my food has not come out yet but from where I am sitting in the dining room I can see the guy who took my order at the counter. I watch him take a BITE out of a fish plank. I thought possibly he's taking a break while it's not busy...but then where is my food since it's slow??? So I walk in and he asks what he can do, not even recognizing me as having ordered already. When I tell him I'm still waiting on my food he has a "deer in the headlights look." He asks what I ordered and now he's stumbling on his words and is nervous. So he says he will check in the back. As he walks away he takes a To go container box off the counter with him. Now the fish plank I watched him take 1 bite out of is no where in site, so I'm thinking where did that go? So from the back I hear the cook tell him he made that already. Then the guy says loud enough for me to hear "Oh it's right here. We overlooked it." He brings out the same to go container he took back to the kitchen and hands it to me. So by now I'm thinking I need to check my food. I open it and the food looks great, but I thought.....probably should look at the fish plank on bottom. When I remove the top piece there is the 2nd fish plank WITH A BITE OUT OF IT!!!!! He gave me the piece I just watched him eat off of. Then he tries to tell me the end fell off in the fryer. Well then where's the piece I watched him take a bite out of??? DISGUSTING!!! So I demand my money back which they did......BUT NO APOLOGY AT ALL. I will never eat here again which is unfortunate as we have typically had good food and go about twice per week for dinner. DO NOT EAT HERE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

curly hair worked (maybe african with no hair neat) who worked the front counter sunday near 6:30 pm, was very rude, negative & likely low intelligence. they had no shrimp, crab, plates, etc. I asked how they stay iin business with no fish. he said maybe they should not get paid either, which showed major attitude. him & manager should ta leats be re-trainied, if not replaced. the potatoe was under cooked, I handed it out, he took it , but lost grip & dropped it. He said I didnt need to throw it down. I said I handed it & he didnt catch it. I didnt eat\ the replacement potatoe, because I didnt trust what he could have put in it. The when home, my wife had stomach issues, so the food was either stored or cooked wrong. We wont be back there. I now see they have 2 1/2 stars & that means other have disliked their service or workers.

Dined here twice this week. First time missed part of the order but fixed immediately, second time no issues. Both times meals were to order, food was cooked well, served hot.
