Low rating due to being overcharged and treated poorly when asked for a correction I went to Margo Margo for the first time Saturday with my boyfriend for a drink. He paid for two classic rita’s ($37). He then ordered another and I tried a smaller, different flavor. They were good but strong; he was ready to leave when he finished. I noticed the bill was double ($78).. We weren’t given an itemized bill, only a total. It was on the credit card terminal set in front of us; the bartender had walked away (was maybe in back as we couldn’t see her). Therefore, my boyfriend said to pay as he wanted to leave and thought maybe his didn’t go through. I called Margo Margo the following day after he confirmed he did pay for two drinks to inquire about my $78 charge for TWO margaritas. The guy said he would look into this and call back. Two days went by and no communication from them so I called back. Madison answered, accidentally disconnected me so I called again. She said no information was passed along, and I repeated my conversation. I was told again it would be looked into. I finally heard from Brian, the manager late Wednesday. He asked for the information yet again and said he would look into it. He called back late Thursday afternoon to say he did see where my boyfriend paid for two drinks. Then he said there was video of us ordering six drinks total and my bill for an additional four drinks was correct. I was shocked. I have pictures of our drinks that night (with times) and it was only four for the night. I asked for the person who has the video to please call as I wanted to know what they saw & to make sure they were looking at the right people. He was direct and short and that was the end of our conversation. I never heard from anyone else.
I’m disappointed as I didn’t feel heard or treated respectfully and I feel scammed.. I am sharing so others ask for detailed receipts and check them closely if you choose to go here. I don’t plan to go back.

This place is way better than it was the first time I went here! Our bartender Claire was super attentive and the Margaritas were strong! The tacos we ordered were fresh and absolutely delicious. My business associates and I will definitely be back

First time here and not the type to be extra picky..but this place needs to have inspections in the kitchen. I walked in and the "chef" was behind me..he opened the door for me and handed me a menu..all while wearing gloves...he then proceeded to touching chicken with the same gloves in the back and asking me what I wanted..I felt a little pressured by him as he kept asking what I wanted etc..So as nice as I am I wanted to kindly leave but he insisted on making me "good" food..he then left to get tortillas..opening doors with the same gloves..came back and made me two tacos with the same gloves he touched everything with..I literally came back to work..I wanted to put my fear of germs aside and took one bite of the meat..then threw the tacos away..they even looked gross! I shouldn't have even tried to put my fears aside! He then proceeded on making food for orders coming in with the SAME PAIR OF GLOVES!! Never once changing them! I work in the health system..and this is a NO NO!

Short version: I keep coming back because of the atmosphere and service. The food is above average, but I wouldn't call it "the greatest"
Long version: This is my third time coming here (all during the weekdays between lunch and dinner times). Each time I have been here, they are very accommodating. The patio ( like most of st. Charles main patios) is dog friendly.
The patio is a typical bar patio. That tables have umbrellas and with the trees, it is pretty shady. Because the patio is on the back of the building, there is not much traffic noise. Overall it is relaxing on a breezy
The food is good. The margaritas and Pina coladas are nothing special, but good enough to order again. I would not recommend the strawberry Margerita if you are a red dye taster, though.
I had an issue my second time coming here in which i was served my food and then a "big" crowd came in. It wasn't that big, but they only had the server and the cook working. The server knew he basically left me hanging, but took accountability without me saying anything and comped my entire meal. I wasn't even gonna say anything. Having worked in the food industry, i know that sometimes unexpected things happen, but how they deal with it is what matters and they get a gold star for that.

Their specialty margaritas were more like over sweetened Kool-Aid. The plain margaritas were good.Chips and guacamole was OK. Bowl was served cold. Tacos.. hawaiian was just ok, luau taco was dried out meat. We won't be back.
Had 2 really great tacos. One was grilled shrimp, and the other was shredded pork. I'd highly recommend either. We also had chips and salsa. Chips were delicious, and both salsas were as well.

Bartenders were great. Amazed at how they renovated the place because the old bathroom…whhheeeewww. Great job! Place is super cute. The drinks were fun and yummy. Love the spicy margarita. The food was so good. My only complaint is when ordering the nachos, we paid extra for steak and there were very few steak pieces on it. I will say though the steak was really well seasoned and delicious. We will definitely come back. I want to try more tacos.
Vegetarian options: They had a black bean taco. Other items can be altered for vegan.

The service was good- quick to take our order and quick to get out the food. We got the chips and salsa - the sweet salsa was different and yummy. We tried a few tacos- they had enough flavor, but they failed to hit my favorites list. The ritas served are one size fits all- BIG- so you gotta be thirsty. Plenty of rita varieties, and a fun bar if you wanna hang out.
