Salt + Smoke was a tasty spot for BBQ and a feel of southern food. They are a two story seating, fully loaded beautiful bar with many options on the menu. The trash ribs anf two choice meat plates with sides were ordered. So filling, easy to share a plate there is so much. The bracket chili and trash ribs were so bomb, would order again. Baked potatoe loaded, mac and cheese, fries...everything was good.
The bathrooms were clean. Service was ok. They did service switch and service improved by a lot. Side street parking or down by the river free parking

We go almost every Saturday to this location on Main Street in St. Charles, and we live in Fenton! It’s my son’s favorite place, my daughter and I like it as well. The staff is great, especially Kayleigh, Jen, and Jess :-). Food is always great, atmosphere is always welcoming too!

I am not a barbecue person, and this place changed my mind. Food was delicious and plentiful.

Went here today for lunch. This is the second time I’ve went to this location, both during lunch time during the week.
The service is usually pretty good. Both times I got the three meat plate. The white cheddar cracker mac is phenomenal and the brisket chili is really good. The pulled chicken was flavorful and moist.
The brisket and burnt ends were both disappointing. My burnt ends and brisket were drier than the Sahara both times I’ve went. For the price, I’d expect the brisket to steal the show and it has left a lot to be desired. Not sure I’ll be back since there’s another BBQ establishment right down the road with much better brisket and portions.

The meats are beautifully smoked and the sauce choices are great. My favorite are the burnt ends toasted ravioli!
Also used them for catered lunch it was a huge hit!

First time eating lunch indoors here - always enjoy the outdoor dining area. Crowded but a short wait to be seated today. Love the pulled pork but I have heard the spicy Bologna is awesome. Popover is excellent. Highly recommend!

Loved the ribs and “fatty” brisket (the lean brisket was a bit dry). It’s a great staple when visiting the historic st Charles area.

I don't eat meat so I can't rate everything. They do have vegetarian options though. So it's nice for families with all kinds of dietary restrictions. Plus if you enjoy Whiskey/Bourbon there's a great selection.

We’ve been to Salt and Smoke countless times over the years, and it’s normally a guaranteed stop anytime we’re driving through St. Louis when they’re open. Today was the first time we walked away disappointed. The rolls came out burnt, and the brisket we ordered “fatty” was surprisingly tough and stringy, honestly closer to roast beef in taste and texture than brisket.
This was our first visit to this particular location, so maybe that played a part. Needless to say, we’re not swearing off Salt and Smoke, we love the place, but we were definitely shocked by today’s experience.
