I have been a faithful customer for years but the last 3 months or so the food has been TERRIBLE!!!!!
The owners seem to never be around anymore and the quality is suffering!!! Tonight I got my usual St Paul sandwich, they used bread and butter pickles rather than the usual hamburger pickles and it tastes disgusting. Last order my fried rice was burnt. The time before that my chicken was burnt.
I used to tip and every once in awhile the staff would give us a thank you in return like a bottle of soda or an extra crab rangoon. Needless to say they don't do that since the owners stopped working in house, and after the last three trips I'll never tip again if I even decide to go back.
Please look at my online order history! We usually order from your store every Sunday. I know how your food is supposed to taste, and something is definitely wrong!!!
By the way, I would have loved to speak to the owners any other way than a public Google review but there's no way to get a hold of them. I've even tried to message them on Facebook but no one monitors their page.
PS- please clean up that disgusting fish tank behind the counter. It's covered in mildew, grime and mold... not very appetizing.
11/23 ordered hot braised chicken ,gen toa’s and king poa all 3 breaded chicken dishes were dry, stringy and chewy had to spit out every time on several attempt. 3 of us on each dish. worst part spent a hour a piece digging nasty chicken out of teeth. on upside didnt eat enuff to get sick cause unchewable thank goodness. never again!!!

We love China Star - we just ordered again and the food was thoughtfully packed in a box so all of our items stayed upright. Everything was there and accurate, and the food is good (fan of the potstickers on chicken on a stick!).

The last few times we have order from here don't get me wrong food is good but the last few times I have gotten the hot braised chicken combination plate. The hot braised chicken combination plate has been hard like unchewable hard like your eating Grissle I can't even finish i. I normally don't leave bad reviews but this time even though I love their food it's been to hard to even eat not soft and chew just hard and grissly. 3 out 5 stars I'm very sorry.

China Start is our go-to Chinese restaurant. Ordered pick up today and it was the worst Chinese food we've had in a looong time. It all tasted microwaved and flavorless. Fried dumplings looked fried but thry were very soft. Very disappointed.

So this is place the boys like to eat. And since they are VERY picky. We ate here. We all got fried rice. I ordered crab ragoon. The rice was good. The crab ragoon was better. The boys usually wont eat them but they did that night. So 10 out of 10.

I'm a big dude and I couldn't eat all of the lunch sweet and sour chicken special.

Eh taste. Bag was leaking with sauce and covered the rest of my food. Edamame wasn’t even seasoned?? Mongolian pork was mostly onions and the meat was mostly fat.

Disgusting 😩…My first time ordering from this restaurant so I wanted to sample my favorites…I ordered an egg roll, house special fried rice, vegetable low mein, pork with garlic sauce, and steamed dumplings. The egg roll was bland until I bit into a pocket of sourness like vinegar. That part had a rancid taste so I spit it out! The fried rice was bland and unseasoned. The chicken tasted boiled with no seasoning. The garlic pork was the worse. There were large slices of fatty pork in a sauce that had a BBQ flavor. The vegetable low mein was okay. The dumplings filling was also very bland. I don’t eat spicy food so for me to think a dish is bland is crazy. Threw it all away!
