I would like to thank Hobos at the Legion for furnishing the Christmas dinner at Church Street Village Senior Apartments. The food was fantastic! Looks like their busy place,, we got great service THOUGH. Good food. Chicken was awesome and meatloaf looked good as well. Love their mashed potatoes and gravy. RECOMMEND it for a good cold beer and fantastic food and friendly service.

The waiters are extremely rude. Our waiter brought us our drinks, but they were made incorrectly. I asked for an old fashion and it tasted nothing like an old fashion. She claimed that they used Ten High as their rail and since we didn’t ask for a specific liquor that’s what she gave us. We asked if she could replace it because it tasted like a Shirley temple and that we were not satisfied with the quality of the drink and she told us no, and she charged us for the drinks that we did not drink. We requested to speak to the manager, in which she claimed she was the manager. She then only refunded one drink. My experience overall was very poor. To add to that, My wife ordered Mac and cheese and it tasted like it was just gotten out of the refrigerator and was only warm on the top and cold on the bottom. The waiter/manager then hastily walked off and went to warm up a new bowl of Mac and cheese. At that point my wife didn’t even want it anymore. Needless to say, I’ll never go back. Good Customer service should be very important and at the end of the day satisfaction should be guaranteed.
On a positive note, the fish was good.

Ok, I know I'm being a Karen here but hear me out. This sorta bothered me. On the menu it states Specials of the day. Today's Friday, Fish Special. Also hand written on the chalkboard in the restaurant clearly shows today's Special Fish Dinner. So I ask the waitress what's the special Fish Dinner?? Oh, there isn't really one it's just the fish dinner we serve everyday as always over here on the menu. What? Then why is it advertised as special? not just once but twice?? If there's nothing special about it?? Agree or disagree? In My opinion, it shouldn't be advertised as a special then!! Very deceiving advertisement. Mark it as featured would make more sense. Or choose something else that's really a special. I asked the manager about it. She stated they do this twice a week. Wednesday's special isn't special either?? She also stated they just printed up new menus and they know this but still chose to leave it that way. Why?? Maybe I'm the only one that noticed or cares?? I personally think it's wrong to advertise it this way. It's clearly not a special!

You're in for some delicious food if you stop here. They are famous for their fried chicken, and it did not disappoint. Their fried catfish was very tender and surprisingly light. We enjoyed both dishes immensely. Just a heads up, on Sundays they close at 3. Stop by and as always, support local.
