I've been in St Louis since moving here from Austin, TX fourteen years ago. Finally made it to Pappy's. What a let down! I ordered the brisket platter with beans and potato salad. The beans were fantastic and the potato salad was okay. Unfortunately the brisket was subpar at best. Sliced thin, little to no bark and tasteless. Very disappointing 😞. Maybe I'm a BBQ snob IDK, but I've had better.
Ribs are awesome, a lot of smoky flavor. They were out of brisket, Baked beans are great.

Love the place. Love the food. Don't know why it isn't busier. The BBQ is just as amazing as this location as the one downtown. If you want Pappy's, and you want ribs, brisket and burnt ends - they're never sold out at this location. Come here. Or don't.

Got takeout on a Wednesday night- brisket was excellent- sliced thin with minimal fat, chicken was tender and RIBS were phenomenal! Giant, fluffy baked potatoes, coleslaw & baked beans hit the spot. Grade A, 10/10 would recommend.

We got a recommendation to stop at pappy’s from a guide at the Arch and I’m so happy we did! The portions were huge and the burnt ends were delicious! I got the fire and ice pickles which as a pickle lover were so good!! The burnt ends were so delicious and juicy, no sauce needed! The baked beans were just okay, but the apple sauce and chips were great! If you’re near a pappys and looking for bbq this place is a must!

I thought the baked beans were too intensely flavored and very peppery, I couldn't finish them, the potato salad was a bit bland and I'd prefer eggs in it. The pulled pork and the bbq sauces were very good. Maybe the pork was a bit dry though.

I’ve had brisket at at-least 7 different places in the metropolitan area and this was the juiciest, freshest, and cooked/smoked the closest to perfection. It seemed to me to have a simple salt and pepper rub that actually accentuated the brisket and the same with the subtle smoke flavor.
I’ve had so much bbq at other places and the smoke flavor is like a slap in the face and it’s all you end up tasting.
Also I’m a sucker for vinegar coleslaw, so I was glad to see that on the menu.
Service was quick, efficient and friendly. I’ll look forward to visiting here again.

I live closer to a pappys which is horrible! I’ll be in there once a week now! My favorite is their brisket and baked beans! All the food I’ve had is so good and customer service is great!
