Racanelli's Pizza

Delicious! Similar to Sbarro’s but even better. This is a popular “cheat” meal for my husband and I. We get it to go a lot—half cheese, half pepperoni. We always have friendly service. Sometimes it takes some time when they are busy but so worth it!

This is the second time in as many months that I’ve gone there for a slice of pizza and a drink for lunch. The first time a middle-age lady was sitting in the booth next to me talking very loudly on her cell phone to the point where it did not allow me to have an enjoyable lunch. The second time I went for lunch as I was getting ready to order a middle-age man was sitting in the booth near where I was going to sit, and he also seemed to be conducting business on his cell phone using the speaker phone on his phone. He was extremely Loud in his talking, and at that point, I told the waiter at the counter that I was not going to order because I didn’t want to again have my meal spoiled by someone talking. I then discovered that both the original person and this person were the owner and his wife Conducting business at the booth where the customer sit. When I go for lunch, I don’t need to have someone talking at the top of their voice on the phone a few feet from me.

After getting home with my Calzone, I realized right away that it wasn't the same Racanellis I had know for 2 decades. The Calzone was doughy and mostly ricotta cheese, hardly any mozzarella cheese at all. When I called them right back and asked if John Racanelli still owned the business, I was told no he sold it. Last time we had a pizza from them it was the same doughy experience. The recipes have been changed, the quality is gone and so is the taste of their food. Totally disappointed ☹️ No longer will I recommend them to anyone. I actually knew John Racanelli, I come from New York myself and praised his Pizza over all others around . . Not anymore, run . . Run away!

Really nice little spot.
Pizza crust was nice and crispy, and the flavor was nicely balanced. Slightly greased, but that can be soaked up with a napkin.

Staff was friendly and upbeat.

I think we will give up on this place after tonight.We’ve loved this place for years but I think after tonight being hung up multiple times since 8:30 we will never order from here again unless they change customer service. The pizza is good but not good enough to hang up on customers.. The service has just gotten awful. . Would love to hear feedback from someone in management. I’ll suggest going to Pizza ranch, any Papa John’s, Mellow Mushroom, East Coast Pizza (much better customer service), and I live less than a mile away from this place.

Best pizza 10/10 would recommend love the crumbly sausage and the crust has a really nice crisp

Based on previous reviews I thought I would take a chance. It was mediocre at best. Didn’t taste any better than a frozen pizza. 6 of us ate it and no one thought it was great. Can’t really rate service or atmosphere since it was just a pick up.

By no means am I an expert but I can say every time I have had their Pizza I have enjoyed it immensely! The crust has had the classic crunch with the soft chewy interior that I love and expect. The cheese is buttery and stretchy. The tomato sauce is sweet but not overly acidic, and seasoned well. The bake on the pizzas I have had has had the right balance of char without being burnt. I have done the cheese pizza, the pepperoni pizza, one of my favorites is the white pizza with bacon added on just because. I have only done delivery but it always comes to me hot and ready to go. 5 stars wvery time.

I really liked the Webster Groves' Racanelli's. However, I believe that the St. Peters location got my order wrong. It was NYE and they were busy. So I'll give them another shot before deciding to stick with only Kirkwood.

Staying in st peters so this place was recommended so we Ordered a large pepperoni pizza garlic knots and garlic cheese bread. The pizza looks delicious and then take a bite and it's doughy and no flavor very disappointing and do not recommend just very blah and not how I like pizza. The cheese garlic bread they folded in half with a paper plate just over all disappointed

I was born and raised in NY but have been out here in Mo for 40 years and I am here to tell you this place TRULY DOES have New York pizza!! It is amazing! I drive 40 miles to come to Racanellis, that's how delicious it is! NEVER had any pizza place I've been to even remotely came close to NY pizza!!!! Love it
