Went for brunch on Sunday and will definitely be back! Tried the pork burger, French toast and the quiche étouffée. Zero complaints! Everything was delicious, seasoned well, nice proportions for the prices and I loved that the taxes were included in the price so we knew exactly how much everything was. Our server was very friendly and everything came out quick as well. I was shocked when who I assume was the owner came to check on us and said this was only their second brunch service! We’re so excited to go back and try their other options. 😊
My son and I stopped here while traveling The Great River Road. Chose this restaurant by chance and were blown away with the food. The homemade bread with the spinach dip was off the rails! Then I dipped the bread in my homemade French Onion soup and my God. Then I HAD to try their späzle since I make it homemade myself and it was quite good! Bravo on a great chef in the kitchen cooking great food!

Restaurant Review: Had a reservation on a Saturday night to celebrate a birthday. They were out of at least 3 food items when we sat down and by the time we ordered our drinks, an additional 2 items were unavailable.
The waitress seemed new - while she was taking our drink orders she kept running back to the bar after almost every order to verify that they were able to make the drink. She also was using a tablet and didn’t look at us while taking our orders, both drink or food. She definitely wasn’t comfortable or confident while waiting on us, it seemed like she was put on the floor on her own too early or without proper training.
Several of us ordered Martini’s and each martini was served at a different level of liquid in the glass. Being in the service industry myself, a bartender should be making martinis the same way and they should all be the same amount of liquor/liquid in the glass, especially if these martinis are all going to the same table. We didn’t say anything the first round because our waitress was flustered enough getting our food order but the second round of martinis the same thing happened. When I asked the waitress why there was a difference, her response was “that’s just how he makes them.” Probably not her best response choice or solution to the concern. So we asked to speak to the manager and her response was “What would you like me to do about it?” Again probably not the best response - a simple I’m sorry would have been a good start followed by a let me speak to the bartender, let me fix it, can I bring you another one/something else, etc.
Food was mediocre at best. Several of our meals were missing this or that, the meat that some of us got wasn’t cooked to the temperature they asked for, we had to ask for proper silverware. It just wasn’t a great experience overall. Wouldn’t come back next time I’m in the area.
I appreciate our waitress trying her best but I she definitely needed more training both with speaking to the guests and using the tablet.

We ate here. The server was nice, and the food was delicious. I had the bacon wrapped mushrooms and seasonal vegetables as my meal. So good. There are only four mushrooms, but they are big enough to cut up or eat in one swoop. We had a group of 14 it took a long time to get our food and tickets. It is a little pricey but nothing crazy. I would love to go back.
We ate at their restaurant, and since we had our dogs with us, we ate outside. Their outdoor area is very dog friendly. They have bowsl for water for the dogs at each table. Our server was just as attentive to our dogs' need as she was to ours. We had a late
lunch. I had the pastrami rueben with fries, and my husband had the cod. Both were good. The only thing was that my husband said that the coleslaw was dry. The fries were a bit different. They are almost like a cross between a steak fry and chips. I really like them.
Great experience here everytime! Bar is well stocked, kitchen always serves great food and prices/service is great!
Rooms: Very well appointed rooms, very clean!
Walkability: Perfectly located in the heart of downtown, great parking
Noteworthy details: This place is great for any type of visit, it has a great menu and kitchen, bar is fully stocked and friendly and the rooms are gorgeous and priced very fair (and includes a drink at the bar!)

Two friends and I met at the restaurant and greatly enjoyed lunch. Delicious, high quality, perfectly prepared food (cod basket, chicken, burger) and a very friendly, attentive server. We came from St. Louis and from Carbondale, IL. This is our treasured meeting place.

The hotel is so fresh and clean. The bed, linen, and pillows are so comfortable. We had a very peaceful stay. Our hostess was exceptional as was all of the staff. Dinner and drinks in their restaurant was perfect. There is an elevator (or stairs) to the second floor which only has I believe 7 rooms. Also a room for a light breakfast, juice and coffee. We truly enjoyed our stay.
