My bf and I were there last night for a romantic Valentines Dinner held in the Midnight Slip. This was my treat to him because he spoils me and one of the ways he does that is by cooking, which he does well. I hate to cook, lol!
On the menu was prime rib w/an au jus sauce, chicken with pasta, mashed potatoes, carrots w/a bourbon glaze, roasted brussell sprouts and dinner rolls. I think that was it for dinner. For dessert, creme brulee and chocolate covered strawberries. I got a taste of everything and it was all delicious! I did feel bad for not eating all of my prime rib, but I was getting full and I needed room for dessert!
We both were impressed with the look and feel of the Midnight Slip. Also, the host, server and chef were wonderful, too. To add to our special night, I was ready to pay for our dinner, but Cupid showed us some extra love and beat me to it. Thank you, Cupid!
I hope there are more dinners like this in the future.

We went to the restaurant for dinner, it took an 1.5 to get our food while other tables had people come and go TWICE! Then once we got the food it was like warm, overcooked and hard as a rock. Very disappointing for this place. Make look classy on the outside but inside it was a disaster!

Such a disappointment! The food was good, but our service was pathetic. We had a reservation for 5, and when we arrived it wasn’t busy at all. Our waitress almost completely ignored us. It took forever to get beverages, and then she didn’t come back to take our order until we signaled her. Fresh beverages, or refills were never offered, and once the food was served she never came back. Plates were never cleared, and we had to wave her down to get our checks. We watched her through our visit and she was just hanging out in the kitchen doing nothing! This was some of the worse service that I have ever experienced.

Fantastic food, excellent service and a wonderful atmosphere - loved the music!! Our expectations were definitely met. All of our meals were outstanding and Maizie, our server, was friendly, attentive and professional. She did a great job. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend Audubon's.

This is a review of the restaurant only: We came to Ste. Genevieve 2 weeks ago, during the snowstorm. The town received the most snow in the area, 13.8 inches! While many businesses closed their doors this weekend, Audubon's was open. We did not stay at the hotel, but we came for dinner on Saturday night. Rachel gave excellent service. I had the pork chop, and my date had the pork burger. The food was delicious, the service was prompt and friendly, and it was lovely to sit in the cozy dining room with the view of the snow falling in the moonlight on Main Street. I'm so happy Audubon's was open and we could enjoy a nice dinner during a frigid weekend. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

We have few opportunities to get out for a “date night” anymore due to kids' schedules and just life in general. Our date night at Audubon's in St Genevieve was outstanding. The food and service were both exceptional and we had a wonderful time. We can't wait to get back!

Disappointed overall. Took 45 minutes to get food after ordering. No sauce of any kind on sandwich, a very very large & dry & fried item on a very hard bun. Chicken salad was dry, needed Mayo & celery & seasoningetc. Everyone at the table said seasoning was needed on their food items, just bland. We had reservations - table not set with menus & silverware etc as expected. Only limited staffing. Had to keep flagging down wait staff - ready to order, need iced tea, etc. Water was refilled for 4 of the 6 of us — so set glasses out on table edge for refilling - she emptied the pitcher - never came back. Took forever to get sandwiches. Audobon salad was good. Likely not to return. This was first time visit... 3 couples meeting up there from 3 different cities, one couple was from 6 hours away... just disappointing. And we paid for 4 of the 6 guests' tabs... it was our idea to go to this restaurant.

I cannot remember the last time I went to a restaurant and loved EVERYTHING we ate. The service was great and the staff was incredibly friendly with our daughter. We will be returning for sure!

Audubon's was absolutely great! Best Caesar salad, very good French onion soup, the salmon was perfect. Great meal after a long car trip.

Kudos to Jesse! She made a phenomenal pumpkin spice martini (shake, shake,shake)!She also (singlehandedly) was waiting on everyone in the restaurant by herself, as well as bartending for all. She handled everything with grace. The food was excellent and reasonably priced.
