Compared to the next local winery, you absolutely need to come here. The wine is not only a lot better but also a lot cheaper.
Absolutely a beautiful place with great service!!!

Food & drinks: Celebrated a milestone birthday. Food was amazing. I had the grilled bone-in pork chop which was amazing. A couple of others had the ribeye steak which was extremely tender and cooked to perfection. I would also recommend any of the sides but I especially liked the garlic Parmesan fries. I highly recommend eating at this restaurant!

My husband and I just spent the weekend at Chaumette in one of their villas. Everything was absolutely great! The villa was extremely clean and well stocked with everything we could possibly need and the scenery is beautiful. We had dinner at The Grapevine Grill last night which was fantastic. If you need a place to stay in the Ste. Genevieve winery area, you definitely want to check out Chaumette. We will be back again!

We stayed here for an anniversary weekend and had a wonderful time. The villa we stayed at was great and came equipped with everything we needed for the weekend (and was very clean). All the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was perfect for a hot summer day. Would recommend everyone come here for a weekend getaway.

Been coming to this winery for years mostly for good food. After last visit we have learned that previous Chef left and the replacement is terrible. Everything looked like bar food. Unfortunately Will not be coming back.
Very lovely winery. The grounds around the winery are beautiful. I ate dinner and went on a hike. The food was okay but I was hoping it would of been a little more upscale. The salmon was slightly over seasoned. The hiking is very cool. I added a picture of the hiking map. We went to the other winery and they were closed. You can tell from the pictures that it's worth the drive.

Who Knew?? — Apparently USA Today Judges
Napa Valley or Virginia may have the best vinyards in the U.S. But for two years running (2022 & 2023), the award for best vinyard PLUS restaurant deservidly goes to this gym, Chaumette Vineyards & Winery.
About an hour drive south of St. Louis, you exit the highway, and travel a land of serenity, rolling hills and cattle ranches. When you pass through the gated entry to the property, you are taken by its serenity.
As you wind up the private drive, you see the restaurant. There was a wedding party taking pictures off the road to the restaurant. BTW....there is a wedding chapel on premises.
The Wine
Yes! After much discussion, the bartender suggested the Chardonel for a white, and Chambouron for a red. Both were described as dry, but each had a hint of fruit. Both were delicious.
The Food
Yes! I got, and highly recommend the Spicy Penne pasta with steak as the protein. Wife says beef doesn't go with penne pasta. Hmmm. It does if you're a beef eater. I moved my Strawberry Spinach Salad onto the plate with my entre....just because. (See pic.)
She got, and very much enjoyed the Tortellini Alfredo. Oh, and the dessert. They offered a slice of carrot cake, big enough to split with your date. Yep.....you want to try dessert.
We highly recommend this destination, as a relaxing, serene place to enjoy a dinner plus wine.
This was our favorite place to eat when we wanted something nice. They have changed Chefs recently and I really hate to say but the new Chef isn’t worth the money you have to pay. They went from having creative and very flavorful dishes with the past chef to burgers & pasta like every other restaurant with the new one.
The wines and everything else is worth a visit but we won’t be going back to eat.

I loved this stay. The management was receptive and kind. Premises were well maintained but not overly manicured. Get up and catch the sunrise; here are photos from the deck of villa 31.
Walkability: Most was easy for me with a knee injury.
Food & drinks: Aged steak was the family favorite. Needed more concentration on IPAs and mixed drinks
Noteworthy details: Nice pool and walking trails.

What a wonderful experience. It was our first family vacation in years as we're all adults now ages 33-69. We stayed in villa #33 and it was perfect. Roomy, clean, well stocked, and wonderful views. Had some potentially dangerous storms coming in and was visited late Sunday by a staff member to give pertinent advice, thank you.
Had dinner one evening at the Grill, wow everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the pork chop which can be a challenge to serve, but it was moist and flavorful.
I am recommending this place for anyone looking for a peaceful weekend with quality accommodations.

Excellent stop for a Saturday drive! We landed on the off season, only 3 wines to enjoy. All were good. Friendly service and beautiful surrounds.
Enjoying life 1 bite, 1 sip, and 1 small town at a time. Explore everything!

" off the beaten path" is not a lie here. 26 minutes from the highway and I've done the route more than once. You might be asked if you have a reservation...even if you are LITERALLY the only people standing around in the place. And the staff might act like they are SWAMPED for lunch reservations but they will accommodate you ANYWAY. The porch view is great. The food is really good! And food at a winery is usually second string. There's also pricy loging on site, a chapel and hiking.
