Ok picture this- the first time you walk into a local Mexican restaurant and everyone is laughing and smiling and happy. What could be better. That is exactly the atmosphere you get here. And It's the food, libations, and service that make this place worth going 8 miles out of your way. The margaritas are the coldest and tastiest on this side of the Mississippi- hands down. This small town business is full of local flavor. Highly recommended to anyone in Crawford county or travelers off I44.

Hands down the best Mexican food in the Midwest! I'm from San Diego, CA, where the Mexican food is delicious. Let me tell you, the flavor is like no other, Mr. TEQUILA is like being across the border. The BEST QUESA BIRRA TACOS ever! We try this dish in several states and restaurants. This one, hands down, is the best. Don't believe me, go try it and you decide!! You won't be disappointed.

We stumbled upon this gem after hiking in the area one day. What a great find! The food was excellent, and the service was impressively fast. Prices are very reasonable, too, and the portions were generous. My friend is a hot sauce fan, and he said their house made hot sauce was incredible. Next time we are in Steelville, we'll be back!

The salsa that came with the chips was just so so. My husband's combo meal was fine. And they are the reason it is only getting four stars because my meal of steak street tacos was fantastic!! And the salsa that came with the steak tacos was absolutely divine!!
