I have found my experiences at The Boathouse in Stockton, Missouri, to be consistently disappointing. Despite its potential, I have yet to enjoy a meal that meets my expectations. The service is slow, often leading to long waits for both food and drinks. Additionally, the quality of the food fluctuates significantly; some dishes arrive cold or overcooked, while others lack the freshness one would hope for in a dining experience. Lack of attention to detail and customer satisfaction leaves me feeling frustrated and devalued as a patron. Given the combination of slow service and inconsistent food quality, I find it difficult to justify returning to The Boathouse. Dining out should be an enjoyable experience where value for my investment is apparent, unfortunately my visits have only reinforced my preference for other options.

My husband hot the ham plate and I got the ham and brisket plate . I was so disappointed… It did not taste good at all. For the money it cost I was very disappointed!!!!

When someone leaves a tip for the cooks make sure they get it. I tipped both for the service and for the cook (who I know) on a carryout and they never received it. Other than that, food was great.
We met family there and that's the first time I've ever ate there and the food was excellent Service was okay and the atmosphere was great.

We wanted to like this place because it is close and has good reviews. The first time there did not impress. $31 for steak and 3 very small fried shrimp. Hubby said the steak had no flavor. Baked potato called The Yacht was just OK. The only thing that was hot were the fries brought after the rest of our meal. The atmosphere was very cool, though. It was very clean and the hostess was great. We decided we're going to try one more time in case UT was just an off night.
