I'm not a fan of Applebee's, but my wife and daughter have a little tradition that we started before the chain, as a general statement, went downhill.
The food at this Applebee's in Sullivan, MO was awesome tonight. The little wonton taco appetizer was absolute perfection.
I asked for crumbled blue cheese for my cheddar burger but it didn't come, and the fries were a little soggy, but everything else was pretty amazing. No joke, I was impressed for Applebee's. Not bad at all for four different meals on a slow Tuesday.

Food was good, service was okay except she interrupted our meal to ask for a.donation for.charity. its not the request that bothered me it was the timing of it.
However, I was in complete SHOCK when the bill arrived 😳 $100 for 2 people! One bottle of Busch was the only alcoholic drink. I mean ... its Applebee's, I can't even imagine what it would cost to bring a family here!

We visited Applebees for dinner yesterday. Thursday August 7th. Sat at the Bar. The bartender working the Bar, dining room in bar area, and making all the drinks for the whole restaurant was AMAZING and worked so quickly. And with a smile and positive attitude. The reason I gave 3 stars on atmosphere, and over all is because of the manager on shift that night. The place was so busy. All the staff was working their butts off. Except him. Stood there and did nothing. Yeah he asked some tables how their food was. But what made me feel terrible for the bartender was. She was SLAMMED. She didn't have even have one minute to wash any drink glasses the whole time we were there. The glasses filled her sink and the counter behind the bar was full of dirty glasses. Not because she neglected them. Because she literally was making drinks non stop. And efficiently too! The manager, who seemed to be bouncing back n forth from the tv's, came behind the bar, and the bar tender said very nicely, you wouldn't want to wash glasses for me. Would you? He made some stupid joke and said no. With a smart ass smerk on his face. I even chimed in and told him she's been working so hard and how amazing she's been doing. He said. I know. But again, made another wise crack why he wasn't helping. That is not a good manager! He should have his staffer's back. He did not! Long story short. Whoever was working behind the bar Thursday 8/7 needs a raise for her workmanship, her positive personality, and mostly for having to work under a selfish manager like that. Btw. The food was excellent.

Angela was absolutely wonderful with us! She noticed we were foreigners and was incredibly patient while communicating. Every dish we tried was excellent - my family and I loved our first experience at Applebee’s!

We had a truly outstanding experience, especially compared to previous visits to city locations. From the moment we sat down, our waiter Jaden M. made the evening memorable with his warm, friendly personality and great sense of humor. He was incredibly attentive and always seemed to appear just when we needed something. The food was fantastic—rich, flavorful, and generously portioned. We left feeling full, happy, and with plenty of delicious leftovers to enjoy later!
We were let in with a dog and had made in order and after 5 minutes manager had came over and said that we can not be in with a dog and said that to keep the dog outside or cancel the order so we canceled the order and had to go to the other place to eat!!!!!
