Good for lakeside eatery. Wide variety of menu options. Tacos and burritos were good, nothing special, but good. The pizza is good option. Huge drink menu. Relatively solid beer menu. Surprised there weren't more locals on tap, but a good can and bottle selection.staff was friendly and attentive. Inside and outside seating. Beach area. Live music and dance floor. If Sax on the Beach is playing definitely make your way over there. They alone are worth the visit.. ample boat parking and car parking. Really a nice place where you can get a solid lakeside meal

I don't usually post reviews but this was the second time that this happened to my wife and I at Captain Ron's we were there at the vintage boat show and decided to have something to eat when we went in to get a table we were told that there was over a 30 minute wait when I looked around and saw quite a few open tables the young woman told me that they didn't want to overwhelm the kitchen I think that was a reflection of poor management when they knew that it was going to be busy mind you this was the second time this happened to us. I don't think I'll be back and I liked going there as it is close to home and the food was away pretty good. Sorry Ron

Love this place and Captain Ron & his family!

The grouper sandwich is fantastic!! Second year we've eaten there, quality and flavor were exactly the same. Highly recommend for sure!!

We were here over labor day weekend food was good but the service was disappointing. Our server never came back to check on us or refill our drinks or ask if we needed anything else.

When i pulled this up to report how poorly and disorganized that Captain Ron's was tonight i found an old 8 year review where we had trouble before. Not sure i have come back until tonight and it was a disaster. The service was horrible. We were filling out own sodas and water. One in our party ordered grilled grouper and they brought Cajun which she didn't like and asked for her order to be fixed. After everyone was finished eating and waiting over an hour we had to get sometimes attention to get the order right. The manager did apologize and took the meal off the ticket but completely ruined her dinner. Even after that when I asked the waitress to get me some more to drink and was paying my bill she told me she would get it for me. So I tipped her and never saw her again. It is sad because it wasn't even busy. I guess I will have wait another 8 years and try it again.

This review was from eight years ago....They did not fill tables that were empty because they were behind in the kitchen. We had a party of 7 and would have been more comfortable sitting at the table that was empty the whole time we were waiting almost an hour. I know this is typical wait at a lake restaurant but it was a little after 2 in the afternoon. The food was average. Our waitrese Kailey did everything she could to make it right. After we are seated it was another 45 minutes to eat. We are leaving restaurant and it is almost 4:30....management might want to look at turnover when tables are available since we stood at bar waiting drinking water.

This was our annual trip and since we enjoyed it last yr we returned. Our waitress had no desire to serve us you could tell with her attitude. I get there will be bugs from outside however we had to get creative just to save our drinks. They were horrible

No waitress this past Saturday night, waited over an hour… thought they were so busy we would be patient u til the dark haired barmaid said they did not have a waitress, Not going back there!

Went here for lunch a couple days ago, upon walking in it was very stuffy, no ventilation, and extremely hot. Got a pulled pork sandwich, it was cold and dry. Used ketchup for the fries and because it was so hot the ketchup was bad. Told our server and he gave us the next table overs ketchup which was also bad. And to top it all off our server was barely around and never once asked if we needed refills. The staff didn’t seem to care it was sad tbh.
