Nice place inside the corps of engineers park. It was clean and very rustic. Staff, very cordial and helpful. The reviews for the pies are excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the banana cream pie. The restaurant looks out onto the lake. Bathrooms are old, small and clean, slightly musty smelling. There are very few places to eat in town. Menu photos as of May 2025.

We each had the catfish dinner, with okra, fries and coleslaw. This was the cleanest tasting fried food I think I have ever had. None of the flavors blended from over used oil, fries tasted like fries, fish tasted like fish and the okra was on point. The catfish is not little snack bites either, slabs! To add to the fantastic experience, the tarter sauce was home made and excellent. I wish we had gotten the name of our server, she has a challenger, but she was super nice, made sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this place as a destination dinner, small but very nice place. Atmosphere, service , and excellent food. Thank you Cookies for such a wonderful experience!!
