The man with the beard and hat very rude. Turned us away after one minute after closing at 3:01. Didn't apologize just extremely rude behavior
May seem promising, but it's mediocre fare. If you're looking for something special in this little burger stand, you are in for a disappointing surprise! I stopped to get a cheeseburger and side. I wanted to try the fried cauliflower, something I've never seen at such a place. No luck. They accept cash or check only, and I only had enough for the burger. BTW, it took 5 minutes before they took my order. They just kind of ignored me until they were ready. I expected it to take 10 minutes. 25 minutes later, I get my food. Little did I know the place was not as small as I had thought, and there was an entire inside area with numerous tables, almost all of which were occupied! Well, that explained the wait, but what in the heck is a restaurant that serves so many people doing not accepting credit and debit cards? Finally, the burger was okay. It tasted like a homemade burger made from a defrosted pre-formed patty cooked on a stove, not grilled. It was slapped together with a squirt of mayo here, a squirt of ketchup there, veggies tossed on haphazardly. I had to take it apart and adjust everything before eating. If you are passing through, try the Casey's or Hy-Vee, instead.
My family found this small restaurant for a late dinner on our way through Missouri. We enjoyed our double cheese burger, fish sandwich, grilled cheese, Cobb salad, mozzarella sticks, milkshakes and blizzards. I loved that there are so many flavors to pick from for the milkshakes. The chili cheese fries were just okay (I should have just had a 2nd burger instead). Everything was only ~$48 plus tip.
The serving sizes were ample, and the staff was very friendly.
There is only outside seating, but the weather was nice.
Best place to get ice cream in Unionville
This classic institution has been around in Unionville for ages even when others have come and gone, and for good reason.
Not only does it serve as a nice place to get a frozen treat, but a cheap and tasty bite as well.
When I find a hair in the middle of my hamburger pattie. I won't be back.

Been here many times. Never had a bad meal. The fried chicken is excellent, but so is pretty much everything else. My personal favorite is the chocolate malt!

Stopped by for an ice cream and the gentleman at the window was busy counting change with another gentleman outside the window from a money bag for some reason. Thought it must be business so walked around to the other window where a gal was standing and heard the two gentlemen talking about a stray dog that was hanging out there. Gal looks at me and says something to gentleman then goes over to ice cream machine and fills a small cup. I think “OK, she has an order”. She walks around back and comes out with the cup of ice cream looking for the dog (who by now has wandered off”). So she goes back inside and her and the gentleman have a short conversation, at which time I figure I’m finally going to get my order taken, Nope! They both walk to the back away from the order windows (she grabs a spoon on the way I guess she’s going to eat the ice cream) and I’m left standing, still waiting. It takes a few seconds but I finally decided I didn’t care if that dog was there first and even if he was one of them two people surely could of taken my order, I left!
