I recently visited Las Margs and had a very mixed experience. The food was actually great ā flavorful and well-prepared, so props to the kitchen. The atmosphere was okay, nothing too special but not bad either.
Unfortunately, the service really brought the experience down. Our waitress, a brunette whose name I didnāt catch, was inattentive and bad. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. Orders were delayed, and basic things like refills or checking in never happened without flagging her down.
Great food only goes so far when the service is that poor. Not sure Iāll be back anytime soon.

Service was terrible! We walked in and were told to find a table but all tables were still covered with plates and drinks. The restaurant was almost empty. We had to sit at a dirty table and wait for it to be cleared while a server stood at cash resister discreetly looking at their phones. 15 mins passes and finally a server comes by to ask if we need anything and we tell them we havenāt been helped and they go to get us drinks, they come back and we order. We then waited 45 minutes for our food while no one checked on us, none of the other tables were ever cleared off. Multiple other people came and sat at dirty tables and one server rolled silverware, while no one had silverware and when they would go up and ask her for some she would tell them she would bring it when she was finished. She truly never cleaned off a table, got anyone drinks, checked anyone out or anything productive. Also on top of all this our food was ice cold. Truly could have been a good experience if there had been even an ounce of good service available.

My husband and I , stopped in right after getting out of current river. We were starving and they did not disappoint! Large portions for the lowest cost !! Outback patio for smokers
I wouldnt say this is the worst Mexican food Iāve ever had but I also work at an elementary school where we have taco Tuesday sponsored by a french food supplier, so ya know how that is. Anyways I didnt have high hopes for this place, I just needed something edible on a road trip and this did fulfill that purpose,

What an absolute gem! Fantastic decorations and atmosphere for the small town of van buren. We really enjoyed passing through and getting to eat here! Food was good, everyone was friendly! Only thing id ask for them to change it maybe put a handicap wall bar in the bathroom stall since your floors in the restroom are extremely slippery and dangerous.

Itās 4pm on Sunday 6/15/25 and this place was absolutely filthy and it was so bad that when we got there we had to sit at a dirty table because there were no clean ones. The floor was covered in food everywhere and we were having to put out feet in it as there was so much there was no way not too. The server who was a ghost the first 10 minutes we were there then came to our table began to take our order and walked off to help someone else and never came back so we left. We left because we knew the service wasnāt gonna get any better. The place was GROSS š¤¢. There was so much food every where between the tables and floor and it was the entire establishment. Not sure how they got any good reviews but Iām calling bs on them. We were there well long enough that someone should have offered to clean our table and get our drinks. Non of that happened. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Iām 40 years old and I have never in my life been to a ārestaurantā that was this dirty.
