Do not go to Waverly Apple BBQ! You are rude! You knew this was coming. People of Waverly didn't even think you would reopen. I don't need your overpriced underpar food. So I went to Waverly Apple Bbq mind you I called in an order and they did not mention it was cash only! So I was unable to pay for my meal. The waitress said she would pay for it. I stated I could bring it to her tomorrow. She said no and insisted on paying for it. Then next thing I know you startled me and I had no clue what you were talking about at first young girl who said she's the boss comes over to dollar general and catches me on my way out and states she needs me to pay for my $12 food or return the food. So I gave her the food back. Mind you they close at 2 and I had to cash a two party check at my bank in Carrollton. This was not the owner. I mean it's fine whatever but waitress said she had it, and know the owner pretty well. For you to follow me to the DG etc the nerve idk who you think you are.
Can't give it a fair review because they weren't open although the sign said they were.
Unique and interesting establishment. Went during lunch on a weekday and a few locals were there for lunch. Decor is hunting/fishing theme and somewhat darkly lit. I ordered the tenderloin sandwich and it was large and very good. My friends had burnt ends sandwiches. There wasn't much meat on the sandwiches. Portions smaller than expected for the prices. Cash only when we were there but said they normally take cards.

Had the best tenderloin ever! It was the size of a dinner plate plus tater tots for only $9.99 I am looking forward to going back and trying other items on the menu and specifically the loaded fries.

This restaurant used to be a great place to eat. We have been here numerous times in the past few weeks and have been absolutely disappointed. For starters, the restaurant is dark inside with very little lighting. One coworker had to use a flashlight on his phone to see the menu. After about 10 minutes we finally got our orders taken. We ordered 2 Torture burgers, extra jalapeños and 1 Cheeseburger. Our orders took 15 minutes to get to the table. My Torture burger had 3 jalapeños on the burger, maybe 12 fries, and no extra jalapeños. The cheese burger was absolutely sad. It was no bigger than the palm of my hand and to be honest, wouldn’t be enough to satisfy a toddler. It didn’t have any kind of lettuce, tomatoes, or onions. We had to call the waitress from across the restaurant to get a side of stuff to make the burger even moderately appealing. The waitress never even came around for refills or to ask how everything was. She spoke very little the whole time we were there. In the end, the burgers had no flavor, with us even hardly noticing the nacho cheese on the torture burgers. The kids meal cheese burger we received was a little over $10, and that’s with a water and our “torture” burgers were over $12. The only torture occurring at Waverly BBQ is the the quality of food and service. We won’t be back
First time eating here and we loved it. Husband had cat fish. I have burnt ends. Absolutely awesome. Will be back
