Edited 1/17/26: I received an email from Audrey W., Director of Operations for the owners of McDonald’s Waynesville. The response was hostile in tone, reinforcing my concerns about a toxic work environment. I followed up to ask why I was blocked from the business’s social media page after making a simple inquiry and to address the lack of communication and follow thru on her part.

I attempted several times to reach someone from corporate regarding an incident that occurred at your Waynesville McDonald’s location and wanted to follow up in writing.

I went through the drive-thru to purchase a meal (11/9/24), and my card was charged for another customer’s order. I informed the employee that this was not okay and requested that my card be refunded and the transaction reprocessed correctly for my actual order.

Another staff member then came to the window and stated that a refund was unnecessary because the difference was only a “few cents”. I explained that for transaction and record-keeping purposes, and based on being a business owner with extensive business experience, I preferred that my card be refunded and the correct transaction completed. I asked for her name, which she stated was Ann H.

At that point, the interaction escalated by your management Ann. The employee became hostile, closed the drive-thru window, used profanity directed at me and about me, yelling and screaming at staff and myself. She created a visibly hostile environment for the staff present and me as a customer. I was later handed a receipt very rudely after I asked for a full refund.

I was then aggressively instructed to pull forward to the first window. I stated that due to the abusive incident, I was requesting a refund for the entire meal as I did not want that meal any longer. Staff was hostile again and insisted I pull forward while also stating that I had already received a refund on the original transaction, though no such refund appeared on my account. Eventually, an employee came outside to issue the refund.

I recorded the interaction so there would be an accurate record of what occurred. The video is approximately five minutes long and is too large to send via messenger on Facebook, but I would be happy to email it to you for review if you would like.

Additionally, yesterday I tried to reach out about this incident via McDonalds Waynesville social media page. I was blocked from the Waynesville McDonald’s Facebook business page the next day. As a customer this is appalling to have customer grievances go purposely ignored.

I want to be clear that I have never had any issues at this McDonald’s location before. This was my first experience of this nature, which is why I felt it was important to bring it to your attention.

I would like to know if any disciplinary actions has been taken for the November 2024 incident because scrolling through my news feed on Facebook to see her being praised was unsettling after what I personally experienced with her at your establishment.

I have submitted formal complaints with corporate McDonald’s, both owners to their messengers on Facebook, Scott C. (General Manager) via messenger on Facebook and the Missouri Attorney Generals Office.

Henry saved our butts! We went to get three cheeseburgers ketchup only and only got two of them ketchup only and he asked if we needed the other!

Clean, food was decent, good atmosphere with the windows letting in light, no tension inside. Not a bad spot at all for a quick stop. Forgot my straw, which had me nostalgic.

This place is really hard to give a good rating, its by far the most inconsistent mcdonalds ever and im talking about living 3 blocks from one to working at one in high school to now this is the closest fast food convenient place to my home now..the food was inedible in the old building and when they reopened I was impressed..I stopped at the drive thru on Sat evening and it was once again one to two bites, got sick to my stomach..big Mac was dry, cold, and bad..fries were fresh but oily bad taste

The locations in this town seem to have quite a high rate of turnover. The management staff seems to do a more than decent job at keeping people trained. The majority of things that we have noticed are easily attributed to new staff members who are currently learning.

The mayo on my wife's McChicken was chunky. The lettuce might have been green a week ago. My sister, who is highly allergic to onions, always ends up with onions on her burgers. And my niece and nephew haven't gotten their nugget doing sauce in months. Thank the Gods this isn't the only McDonald's that delivers in the area or we'd never have good McDonald's again 🤬🤬🤬.

This place forgot half of our food. I called this place three times and no answer. Still waiting. So disappointed with this newly rebuilt McDonald's! Never going back to this place.

I got doordash. I didn't get the milk shake, called them and they hung up on me. Then refused to answer the phone. This was in Waynesville, MO. store. Not the first they made a mistake and refused to fix it.

So I did a review 9 months ago with 4 stars right. Sadly my view had changed. I've not had a bad experience with workers they have been super nice. Since the revamp of the store, it has gone down hill in reference to time. The lines are ALWAYS long and the wait time is exhausting inside and out. If you are lucky and there is no line the wait time is still exhausting. If your popping in for a quick hash brown only or a drink only you may be in and out. I really hate they made the portion of the store for patrons so small and removed the play area, it may affect sales as parents like to bring kiddos in to eat and play. The workers aren't robots and no one should expect that it of them, they're people just like everyone else but why has the wait time tripled??

November 10th 10:30ish. Was the only one in line and waited close to 5 minutes to just order. Paying for the food went fine and the order was right. Get home take a bite and the patty ends up being raw. By the time we got home it was 10:50 and I was not able to go back and get a reorder. Please make sure the pattys for the quarter pounders are cooked all the way.
