Mexican Restaurants near Waynesville

“Authentic Mexican cuisine in Waynesville, MO!?! I came in with low expectations but was I wrong. My husband and I ordered the “El Mocajete” to share and it was delicious with some leftover! It came with steak, chicken, chorizo, nopal, shrimp, and cheese. We ordered an order corn tortillas 4 in a pack & loved our food so much ended up ordering another 4. Yes, we chose to overeat because it was delicious! And the regular piña coloda was just the right serving size.“

“Now I don’t wanna hear it that this isn’t Mexican food. You don’t go here to have Mexican food, you go here to have food made fast with a hint of Mexican flavor. We found the store to be particularly clean and the staff was very friendly. The young girl noticed we were having difficulty ordering from our app she came over and asked if she could help. We wanted to get a rice bowl but it says chicken rice bowl and on the app I couldn’t make out if they offered any other proteins. She looked at our app and couldn’t make it work either but on the kiosk it was much more simpler. The frustrating part that is when you hit check out it still shows up as a chicken bowl with added protein of meat. That seems like an easy fix. Why not just call it a Mexican rice bowl and let the Customer figure out the protein or no protein. Anyway, I found the need to be Surprisingly tender although it did seem like my wife got more meat in her bowl and I did. It’s still a good value and it filled us both up. This one in Saint Roberts is much better than the one down the street in Waynesville.“

“I have been coming to La Familia for more than 20 years. I have been in the restaurant business and I know there is no such thing as a ( perfect) place. But, in my 20 years, I’d prefer this restaurant over any of the others. Cleanliness is key to what I look for, this restaurant strives for a clean place to dine. Not a fan of loud busy, (drunk), Smokey places. So I prefers this place as MY PLACE if I go anywhere. Like a quiet family friendly quiet place without cussing or drunk patrons, La Familia is your place too.“

“Gets busy during the lunch hour, but the service is fairly quick and the customer service is good. I enjoy the vegetarian bowl and the serving size is good for the price. If they make a mistake they are helpful with correcting it. Overall, not a bad spot for a quick lunch.“
