Robust Bistro & Wine Bar

So this place has always been so, so. We were in last night and I felt like it has really taken a downward turn. The drinks seemed "mailed in", the food was ok but the main issue (and this happens every time we go in there) was that I go to order a beer off the menu and they don't have it. Nobody wants to be told at a hospitality venue that we don't have that menu item. Again, that has happened, literally, every time we've been in there. Won't be back.

I heard good reviews and they were true. The staff is amazing. My waitress Brittnee made sure my cup was filled and checked on me after i got my food. I aill deffently be comming back.

I came into town with my family last night and we came to Robust for the first time! The food was amazing and our server Brittney was fantastic, her and Devin mutually provided great service as well as a great time and experience. Brittney had very great table presence and serving manners. After years in the industry, I know that’s hard to come by!! We will be back because of this experience next time we visit stl!!

Service is fair. Food is fair. Over priced for what you get. Will definitely not return. We were looking forward to trying this restaurant, but left feeling unsatisfied, disappointed and still hungry.

Came in with my gf for cocktails, had a wonderful evening. Brittnee took care of us, she really was a joy to have around! Made delicious drinks and was very personable, we are definitely coming back just to see her!

We decided to stop by Robust last minute on Friday and it ended up being one of the best experiences mainly because of our server (Brittany{?} not sure of the spelling). She was an absolute doll and really wanting us to have an amazing experience. The food was amazing and the night was perfect - we were talking to the table next to us about her funny style and how she made the experience - the service was unique and made the night for us! We will definitely be back.

Robust chowder for $10 was excellent. $19 for two small crab cakes was twice what they were worth.

Server was excellent She was attentive without hovering.

I probably won't go back, though. There are better places for the money.

Anniversary date night- quiet and not crowded when we arrived (early). Got busy as the evening went on but noise was still very comfortable, easy to have a conversation. The food was amazing and the service was spectacular! Amy took extraordinary care of us and made us feel very welcome! We have added this to our very exclusive list of places we will go to again and again. ?

We sat on the patio for their special Paella night. The food was delicious. Service was very personable and efficient. They had a band, and they were great. I really appreciated the fact the band wasn't too loud, and conversation was still possible. Highly recommend for a night out. We will definitely be back.

We are not from the St. Louis area, but we have family here and my daughter attend Wash U. The day after Mother's Day we visited Robust. First I want to say that the waiter was excellent and the small food items that we had tasted fine although they were extremely expensive and tiny. However, we had made reservations for 12 the day before and were celebrating my daughter's graduation. We wanted to have a nice celebration for her accomplishment that included dinner. I understand that the establishment was extremely busy the day before (Mother's Day) but they were out of virtually every entree that would have served as a meal. They had our phone number and email. I reserved both online and by phone. They could have notified us. If they had done so we would have cancelled. Instead we arrived with family and friends coming from multiple directions and there really was no way or time to find another place to go, given that we had all arrived without knowing there was an issue. So we spent 500$ on appetizer type items and drinks, left hungry, went home and ate Mac and cheese. My frustration is that they had adequate time and the ability to notify us that there was no food. Worst of all, my daughter's event was not what our should have been. We tried to make the best of a poor situation, but it was not at all what we anticipated.i tried to contact the establishment several ways to complain and they made no attempt to context us. They did not care.

We had 2 wine flights, a charcuterie and cheese board, the Watermelon and Tomato salad, crab cakes, and bread pudding. Everything was delicious and the service provided by Aimee was excellent. Will definitely go back!
