Zushi Sushi and Ramen

Despite all the comments about Ramen being bad I decided to try it for myself, and they were right. The ramen was extremely bland, no flavor really, had to take the full uneaten bowl of ramen home to make it better myself. And it doesn’t even come with an egg in it, every ramen place that I’ve went to before includes it with the ramen.
On the other hand the rolls were pretty good, no complaints there.

*FOOD POISONING* Ordered a few rolls and a few entrees on Christmas Eve. The food was incredibly bland, the rice was extremely overcooked, and the entrees were very oily. Fast forward to the next morning - I woke up with the worst case of food poisoning I’ve ever had. I would not recommend. There are much better alternatives in the area with similar menu options.

It was my first time dining here. Service was friendly and fast. The restaurant looks small from the outside, but roomy and has a lot of seatings inside. Very chill, relaxing vibe. We ordered 4 rolls - killer salmon, samurai, caterpillar and eel avocado. Sushi rolls were decent imo. Hakata ramen was pretty good. Broth was flavorful and not too salty. It didn’t come with ajitama, but pork belly was given generously. The fried tofu was so good that I ended up ordering 2 plates. Thai milk tea was alright. Kinda sweet and lacking of the creaminess. I’d recommend the Hakata ramen and fried tofu here.

Whenever I want Ramen I come here- Very flavorful- I make my own eggs at home when I order for pick up and the presentation is always very neat. I don't think eggs should be as pricy as $1.50 for one- you get two for that price at a seafood boil restaurant. Plus this is ramen Nudo house and everywhere else gives it for free because it belongs IN the ramen. With that being said the sushi itself sucks - no flavor and they swap out the soy sauce with low sodium and that's nasty to me I like the salty taste with my fish of full flavored soy sauce. The rice in the sushi is never tender always very translucent and soft - overcooked mush again- go for the ramen - not the sushi.

Probably had the worst bowl of ramen I've ever had here. I ordered the Hakata Ramen - the pork belly tasted old and smelled bad, the bamboo was sweet, hard, and crunchy while my girlfriend's was sour, and the broth tasted just of salt. Plus, the yolks of each of our eggs were cold while the whites were slowly disintegrating into the soup.
And don't get me started on the aftereffects, I'm still fighting them as I write this review.

Awful food other than the sushi. Worst ramen I’ve ever had across multiple states. Spicy beef ramen was sweet and tasted like teriyaki sauce? For 5 people it was over $100 and we all left hungry because it was gross. The spicy miso ramen was also bland and tasted odd. I regret ever going here and wasting money on bland, gross food.

My group and I have been regulars to Zushi Sushi and Ramen for a while now and the food has always been great, but after the experience we just had with one of the managers, we definitely won’t be coming back. After receiving the bill, we noticed a 20% tip was automatically added which was weird because it’s never been like that before and we always like to leave our own tips based on how the service was (which wasn’t even that great because all he did was just keep interrupting our conversations and never even refilled our waters, and even then I was still going to do a 10% tip). When I told our server if we could just leave our own tip amount instead of the forced amount, he went to go tell his manager about it, she came to our table, looked at us, laughed, and just handed me back the check and walked away without saying or changing anything. Then the server just says “that’s my manager, there’s nothing I can do about it, sorry”, since when were tips forced, what do you mean there’s nothing that can be done?! I decided to just pay the bill and leave, but never coming back, hope you guys are happy to lose regular customers over a couple dollars👍🏼

I enjoyed the food immensely, and the service was quite good overall. There was a slight oversight with my refill, which was unfortunately forgotten. However, the sushi was delicious and definitely worth returning for. I look forward to dining with you again soon.

The food here overall is very good, but the servers need to chill out. We had one at our table every two minutes. We were on a date and couldn’t even enjoy conversation because waitresses either kept interrupting us, or trying to take food away we were still eating. Do better!

This is probably the best ever sushi and ramen spot I have been to in a loooooong time and I am a traveler! The food was amazing! The service was over the top great! Not to mention the awesome interior decor! I ordered the Unagi-Don and Jasmine Hot Tea. Very lovely pairing and it was served beautifully in a traditional japanese bento dish. I would love to visit when I come to St. Louis again :)
