Marlene's Restaurant and Gift Shop are not longer in Business.

They only serve chili or soup with warm corn bread. Wasn’t exactly what I wanted on a hot summer day but it was homemade and good. They have hand dipped ice cream for cones or cups and homemade cobbler. The elderly lady that waited on us wasn’t very friendly. Retro vintage decor.

Heading west on I-70, I couldn't resist the billboards touting "Boots,Bullets, Britches and Baloney. Only a 1/2 mile North of the exit...this store had amazing merch. HUGE selection of Carhatt and plenty of other high quality outdoor clothing and gear. Plus baloney and cheese on white bread for $1. Best deal I've had in a while. Really liked this place and the service from 4th Gen Crane family members.

I was thinking about going there to eat but not now I have heard from different people that they are rude and not very welcoming and that’s not a way to do business, so I will pass on going here, if they get there act together then I might try them.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday. The place had been recommended by an employee of a winery about 15 miles away. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. Expect to wait a bit because each order is started when you order. The burgers are 1/2 pound but mine seemed like more ? There are NO FRIES on the menu and potato chips are substituted. Not a huge sacrifice for the quality of the food offered. I had the burger with bacon & cheese and my wife had a salad. She finished before me and spent the time looking at all the displays in the attached museum. No charge for wandering around! Lot of interesting items, see other reviews. NOTE: Marlene's has moved from the location shown on Google Maps in August 2021 .

After shopping at the 100+ year old outfitter next door, pop into Marlene's for a tasty meal and slice of pie or fruit cobbler. The Famous Williamsburger is sensational, with your choice of ingredients. I chose the Swiss and grilled onions. Would definitely eat here again.
