My Mom and I decided to go to Mildred's Restaurant to eat lunch after church. This restaurant serves down home Southern cooking. They have a buffet or you can order from the menu. We ate from the buffet. The food is very good. The chicken strips are huge and perfectly cooked. Items on the buffet include turnip greens, macaroni and cheese, dressing, black eyed peas, Lima beans, mashed potatoes, deviled eggs, and several more choices. For dessert, there's a dessert...
We moved to the area about 6 years ago I regret that we waited so long to eat here. There is no particular reason that we waited so long but today was our first time we have eaten here. It's a very welcoming place. It's a family owned & operated restaurant, right there in their front yard. We called in a to-go order. The staff was very quick & friendly. We ordered a six-piece grilled chicken finger plate it come with a salad, side and bread. I got a baked potato...
Parking behind the house/restaurant. Seems to be a local favorite. Liked the salad bar and fried fish filets the best out of what we ordered. I would not order fried mushrooms again. Over all pleased with service after figuring out that we were supposed to seat ourselves.
