On a short trip. Stopoed here for a snack. Beignets were on the menu. Was excited to order these as it's been awhile since we have been to New Orleans for the real deal. We ordered 3 orders to split between our party of 5. They came out in a salad size bowl. All 15 tiny pieces that were the size of a dorito. They were thick crunchy and just horrible. At 9 dollars an order, we were totally ripped off. We should have refused to pay. Get your Beignets in New Orleans...read full review

Cosmos offers delicious homemade breakfast with biscuits, sausage patties, and jam. The food is reasonably priced, and the drip coffee is strong. They provide a military discount, but not for dependents. Service is excellent, with friendly staff who go out of their way to help, such as jump-starting a car in the rain. The atmosphere is okay, with outdoor seating and a view of the beach. The coffee shop has great customer service and is located near the Gulf. While some dishes like beneigts were not well-cooked, most of the food is enjoyed in large portions, including breakfast burger, pancakes, yogurt with granola, and cosmic breakfast fries. Beignets, which are usually a highlight, were disappointing and not worth the $9 a piece, so visitors are better off getting them in New Orleans. The food may take a bit longer, but overall, it remains a fantastic breakfast spot with a friendly environment, especially for families with kids who enjoy the free games.
