Worst dining experience in my entire life. The waitress (nope, not a server) was the worst ever--rude, arrogant, unfriendly, disrespectful, argumentative. She admitted to being new. She was always in a hurry. She cared more about playing with her co-workers than her customers--singing in the kitchen and dancing in the restaurant. When I asked her to clarify my bill, she laughed because I didn't understand it. Then she became annoyed because of the language barrier, and walked away laughing. Of course I didn't get her name, and was refused to be given the managers info. But that's okay--I found the owners info on line. It seems the entire staff is not from here. So I'll make a phone call--let's see how attitudes change then.

Got the 52 I think it was, the steak, cheese, and rice no matter what super simple meal. The steak smelled like it’d spoiled in the freezer and tasted like it hadn’t been cooked since the shape the meal came in looked like it came from a freezer meal anyway I’d guess it probably was taken from the freezer popped in the microwave for 30 seconds then BAM on a plate. The enchiladas tasted the same way, freezer meal quality on a plate smothered in queso. Which DONT GET ME WRONG the queso was the saving grace of the lunch. But still deadgum, if you’re going to be the chef boyardee of Mexican restaurants be honest with it.
Will concur with a previous comment if you’re looking for the DELUXE body cleanse out special get that number one or hell get the 52 and that freezer steak will give you the upgraded both ends package.

Sometimes I think when I leave a great review of restaurant I'm shooting myself in the foot, because then people find out and it gets real crowded when I go there again! Lol This is one of those! This is REAL Mexican food not TexMex. It's delicious AND the best margaritas I've ever had were in Ensenada Mexico. LA Chula's margaritas are very close to that good!!! They ARE the best I've had in the US for sure! See you there!!!

We visit the Mississippi coast every year for Cruisin’ the Coast and we stopped in to La Chula for some Mexican food. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, and we were initially excited by the extensive menu, but that ended when our food arrived. The chili rellenos were heavily battered with runny white cheese; the only saving grace was the lettuce and guacamole that was served with it. The cheese enchilada was so hard it had to be cut with a sharp knife, and the taco meat was dry and tasteless. Our party is from Texas and California, so maybe we’re spoiled by the many options for good Mexican food at home, but we all said that Taco Bell would’ve been better than this place. One of our party actually got sick after we left; we definitely would not recommend La Chula.

My family of 5 ate there yesterday, Oct. 6, 2024. The waitress, Kelly didn't greet my wife and daughter and grandson properly. She was told that we needed a table or booth for 5. Kelly said only three were present, my wife said two more were pulling up. She put them at a booth for 4. When I walked in and then our granddaughter, we had to ash for a larger table. They were not busy, at all. I ask for bean burritos from the kids menue. Kelly said out loud she didn't want to loose her job for serving kids over 12 from the kid menue. I said, it wasn't for a cheaper price, but a smaller food portion. I told her to just bring them baen burrito and rice meals. She was talking loud about not loosing her job. Very unprofessional. I still tipped her in the end. We finished eating about 1:00. I had to work at 7:00. I got diarrhea during that job. Now 9:30 the next morning, I still have diarrhea. I can usually tolerate almost any foods so I'm not sure what caused this situation. I only know we, will not be going to La Chulas ever again.

Y'all..I got the #1 lunch special...and I didn't want to complain..but it taste like roasted Kibbles and Bits Gravy...smh. I've been on the toilet all dayum night. My waitress was awesome. I appreciate all the hard work of the staff but dayum??I ain't never had my stomach cut up like this before. I know how hard people in the food industry work..I just ate it and told the waitress it was great. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings...but my stomach is hurting like helllll?? La Chula..yall may need 2 go back to the drawing board on that #1 meal?..the chips was hard ..thick and not warm..and the salsa had a lot of zing too it..like way too much lime.
Update...the shyts have just stopped.. If you want a Mega Detox..Please order the #1 off the lunch menu...you're guaranteed to be flushed out!
The food is always amazing, but one thing stood out above everything and that was Jahmonica!!!! Outstanding service! Always kept checking on us, and has to be one of the most sweet and humble person I know!? Thank you JAHMONICA for your amazing service!
