First time at TBG today. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious as was the coleslaw. Hubby got the brisket and fries and really enjoyed his too. They give you generous portions, the atmosphere is cool and they play good music. We drove over from Gulfport to give them a try and will definitely be back. Best BBQ around here!!
I live in New Jersey and came to this place on the way to Florida from New Orleans. This place had some of the best food I ever had. The bartender was super nice and the rest of the crew as well. The cornbread is something I will never forget ,that’s how good it was. I will be coming back to St. Louis just to eat here! Thank you for the wonderful memories on how food should taste like. 5 stars for sure.
The food is amazing! They have great drink specials and everyone there is great! From the owner on down, they make you feel welcomed and appreciated!
I picked up pulled pork, mustard greens and macaroni and cheese. It was delicious! I'll be back and going to try a dessert next time.
Best bricket sandwich I ever had. Great help. Good beer. Layed back. Will go again next time in town.

I've just moved back to BSL and TBG was on my list to try. I ordered the Smoked Sausage Plate about 30 minutes before they closed and Leslie was so good about getting my order exactly as I wanted it. The food was excellent, the Cornbread is absolutely unreal! And the Cole Slaw is a little wide cut and had a sweet mayo flavor with a hint of vinegar and pepper. Fabulous sweet and spicy taste. I hate when you get the particle sized Cole Slaw with almost no flavor. And the Sausage was perfectly cooked and still fresh and clean with a really nice char. Here's the thing and it's so important at least to me: Restaurants frequently don't maintain their food well during an entire day.
The night before I ordered a Po-Boy from a well reviewed local place, just before closing as well. I woke up at 3AM and literally threw up which I haven't done in years. I was wretching the rest of the night. I say all that to say this and to encourage TBG: Whatever you do to maintain your food, and obviously not leaving half-warm open tins like, unfortunately, many places do, is working. Keep doing what you do. I like to order late, lol.You guys are at the top of my list in BSL and I will be back frequently. And I love the interior Decor! Thank you!

I never want to review a place on my first visit but after 3 times feel like I have a good grip on TBG. The food has been great, portions are big and worth the money. Every server I’ve had has been friendly and helpful and the food has come out hot and quick. Good beer selection too! Only things I wish they had was smoked chicken. Y’all go eat at a great local joint!

Great BBq and a fair price for the current time, I don’t think you will be disappointed with it here, the Mac n Cheese is a great side and not to over Shadow the Meats that are smoked very nicely and not over smoked, don’t just pass by!

The worst experience in a barbecue establishment on the Gulf Coast i've ever experienced in 34 years. The ribs and pulled pork were inedible as it appeared to have been refrigerated and reheated, causing it to dry completely out. The chicken thighs were cooked in grease that was too hot, causing the outside to almost burn and the batter being undercooked. The i inquired about the deviled eggs and was told they were pimento deviled eggs with a hot honey sauce. I turned them down as these were going to be for the grandkids and was told by Leslie that the "hot honey sauce" could be put on the side, so I ordered them. Even after reminding her that these were for my grandkids and they cant eat the spicy I got home gave the eggs to my grandkids only to have my granddaughter start screaming due to the eggs being spicy even without the sauce. I've eaten spicy food my entire like, and let me tell you, I couldn't even eat the eggs due to the level of heat. After speaking with the manager, she stated they were unaware that the pimento was spicy as they didn't taste the food there. I was totally shocked and asked her. How could they run a business without tasting the food. This will definitely be a dispute on my credit card as I spent well over a hundred dollars there that day only to throw it all away. It was such a disappointment after having such a great experience when Michael first opened the business. You'll definitely need to tighten up or won't last as Salt and Pepper Oak in Diamond Head it only 12 minutes further...

TL,DR: Check your take out, our didn't have Corn Bread and Fries we paid for. And my gf gave them a 15% tip for takeout!!
We drove from Toronto, Canada. We were there Saturday, sept 28, 7:52 pm. We tried to make it before their posted closing time of 9pm. But upon arrival they said they close at 8pm!!
Ok, we get the take out for BBQ sampler. Drove to our airbnb and saw their was NO cornbread. NO fries.
Meat was so so. NO fall off the bone ribs, chewy??
Maybe we are spoiled by better and wayy cheaper Texas bbq. YMMV.
