Can’t believe this place had such good reviews. My lunch consisted of a small pork chop, small portion of baked beans, I’ve had better potato salad in a plastic bowl from the grocery, and a cold roll right out of the bag. Also sweet tea for 14 dollars plus change. I know food has gotten a lot higher, and I eat out a lot. This was a 11 dollar meal at best. Only 5 other people in there at high noon. That should tell you something.

I’ve visited the Camp House many times and it’s always a solid choice for a really good meal. I’ve ate here for both lunch and supper and I’ve tried many different things….fried chicken, fried pork chops, baked chicken, mac n cheese, green beans, salads, loaded salads, ribeye, filet mignon, different fish dishes, cheese curds, egg rolls, etc.. I’ve tried many things and all have been very good. I highly recommend the Camp House for a good lunch or supper option.

Once a month my wife and I have lunch with some long time friends from Brandon. Together we traveled the US extensively for over 3 years and had the opportunity to see and do things we only dreamed of. We have wonderful memories of places we have visited, things we have done, people we have met and places we have ate. Yesterday while trying to decide where to “meet and eat” we decided to go to Bay Springs, Ms. . A “Big”small town in Jasper County, located in east central Ms. A place that I share many memories with a lot of people over the past 40 years with. Good, solid, hardworking, honest people. The kind you like to know and will never forget. We always like the local cuisine on our trips so naturally we chose The Camp House for our meeting place this month. The buffet included fried chicken, fried pork chops, smoked pork tenderloin wrapped in Bacon, scalloped potatoes, baby butter beans, stewed okra and tomatoes, and chocolate cobbler. Fried young juicy tender chicken with a crispy crust cooked to perfection, juicy battered pork chops moist and tender, all hand battered and fried The warm, family-friendly atmosphere adds so much to the dining experience. It’s places like The Camp House that create lasting memories and bring people together. It’s great to be able to catch up with old friends while enjoying such a hearty meal. Plus, the anticipation for our next trip to try the smoked pork tenderloin is a perfect way to keep the excitement alive for our next gathering! Thanks for the hospitality and more memories!

High quality southern cuisine! Recipes are a blend of flavors created by the owner, a grandfather, who is the best story teller, a solid patriot, and has a heart the size of Mississippi!

Located in a classic small southern town, with a motto of, “Someplace special,” you’re sure to be impressed!
An easy, worthwhile stop off of I59, Hwy 15 or Hey 18, you’re sure to be impressed! I’ve lived down south from literally, coast to coast and in between, and the quality of food, service, and overall value is at the top of the charts!
Regularly serving cafeteria style lunches with an optional short menu to order from, and a very impressive supper menu, that’s very reasonably priced. Hosting group events and live music, with many friendly locals and visitors, The Camphouse is a gem with a southern charm that is sure to have you leaving a Google review similar to this! ;)

Safe travels, enjoy your visit, and make sure you say hi to the owner, Mr. Kevin!

Fried pork chops to die for and the best service I have ever had. Thanks for the stories also. Don’t miss this place, you’ll go hungry if you do.

Drove all the way from Brandon, MS to have the special. Went inside and was never greeted by staff. Sat down and waited for about 15 minutes. Not real busy inside. One couple entered about 12 minutes after we arrived. As soon as they sat down, waitress started taking their order. We left. One of their competitors got our money.

Let me start by saying that I'm sure this night is not the norm. With that being said, this was only a 3 out of 5 experience. Solely due to the long wait time for our food to arrive. But that's where the negative narrative ends. The food was delicious and hot. We had the fish ( which by personal preference only, could have been cooked just a little longer). The fries and hush puppies were my favorite. And my wife couldn't get enough of the cole slaw.We ran into a lot of old acquaintances, church family and friends, so that made the night out all the more enjoyable. And for the amount of food we got, the price was right on point. I see why the seating is limited. If you haven't tried it or are just visiting the town. Stop by and be ready to become family.

Simple menu.Cafeteria style: pick 1 main dish, 2 sides, a bread, and a drink. All this for approximately $14.00.I had: Lasagna, sweet corn, "loaded" green beans (cut geen beans, bacon, pearl onions, bell peppers), a roll, and a glass of sweet tea.I've never had Lasagna with chunk tomatoes, not bad; just different (Several chunks were HARD, like stem). The green beans had a large piece of stem in it.Other than above issues, the food was well prepared and tasty, with decent size portions. While dining, a staff member came around inquiring if i needed anything, and brought me a free drink refill (I dined in).Overall, not a bad place to eat.
